sammarullah bhatti leasing allows you to buy a car for 2-500 a month cheaper cause theirs no interest rate. In the luxury segment it’s also better to lease cause the amount of money cars cost to fix. Leasing is also great cause you can write it off on your taxes better than you could a buy due to depreciation hits. And you’ll have a newer car always and if you like you can buy the car if you want to keep it. I imagine they give much better deals on leases cause they wanna keep money rolling but from a tax write off stand point it’s better and make more sense . Luxury cars are different without the warranty

I like how the engine just goes on when you start it with no starter noise since it has no conventional starter.

@Armando Sturzenegger It has an integrated started generator. So it is basically an electric motor sandwiched between the engine and transmission. So to start the engine it uses the 48 volt electrical system to turn that electric motor. That means there is no starter technically. The motor just starts spinning the engine which means no starter noise. It's so cool. So there are no drive belts at all since everything else is run electrically and also the stop start function operates really well since the electric sandwich motor can start the engine without you feeling it and with no starter noise. So the engine actually switches off when coasting to a stop and can start instantaneously and imperceptibly.

Outside of the gadgets, nothing else about that vehicle is interesting or impressive to me. Lease it if you must have it. The performance in the real world did nothing incredible. Track racing would be pointless. But sure, give it to the American Stig.(thanks for not calling him former stig lol). Would have liked to have seen Roman in the back seat giving a real world comfort evaluation from a passengers perspective.

I hope Roman's new-found pessimism on all things is a mid-life crisis moment and he would go back to sound and un-pretentious excellent car reviews. At times to me he is coming across as trying to be too laddish with Tomi who I have to say is maturing into a fine reviewer (full disclosure) I didn't warm to Tomi at first as I thought he was too boyish but no more. Again a good review by father and so despite Roman usurping Tomi too often. :) Mercedes is sheer class it shouldn't be expected to be in all-comers' budget get real Roman. Lol..

That is one UGLY looking vehicle, almost as ugly as i am! I vote to call it a RUFUS, because it is exactly as Tommy described that name! That grille is perhaps thee ugliest bit of automotive 'design' I have seen in a while. Mechanically it's first class, I luuv those in-line engines.

I agree with your overall point but that undersells the 53. It’s a powertrain that shows where we are going and offers a good amount of performance without going full on with displacement. Plus I like to see the return of the straight six.
