Was the ram with sway bar connected? if so would have been awesome to see with sway bar disconnected to compare...since it is Quick disconnect from factory as stated and see if it matches factory spec...fail for not doing if that be the case.

hey this is a fun test , may i suggest using a square next time so you can get the tape measure perfectly normal to the ramp (perpendicular) , the test was so close that without more precise equipment id say they all basically made it to the same spot and that there is almost no difference at all. winning by 10 points at around 400 points each that's only 2.5% better. 1/4 inch error on the tape measure makes a big difference when the margins start to get that narrow.

It appears the Ram Rebel used for testing was a quad cab model. If so, the wheelbase needs to be revised to 140.5" (not 144.6"), which will increase the RTI to 418.

Nice catch. Did you also see how they marked the Nissan. 4:04 They actually didn't mark straight down from center hub. They did it at angle forward. Even the mark is off angle.

Reece i have the crew cab sv midnight edition. I have the rear wheel drive. I dont tow much of anything aside from basic projects i use the truck for and i don’t off-road. I kind of regret not getting the 4x4 though. the engine is awesome. A straight V8 nothing added. To me the interior is refined and just cleaner than the others. Soft touch everywhere and no ugly plastic. Believe it or not i also like having a key to lock my tailgate which is perfectly fine with the assist. I could go on but obviously it’s personal preference. All these trucks do the same exact things and have pros and cons but the margin is much smaller than people make it. For the price i got it for got my truck has features that the other competitors charge a crazy amount for. The most important thing is i trust the reliability of nissan.

@@reece7259 That's what's funny. Most people bashing them have no idea or can't come up with a reason why. The motor is great...lots of power. There was an issue with sluggish gear changes. But that was fixed with computer update. I have the Pro4X in white. Bilstein shocks....locking rear diff ...skid plates ...hill decent assist. And 360 degree camera. The instrument cluster is gauges ..not display. People may think its outdated but I like it. Lots if cabin space and storage. And zero gravity seat work great. Plus it sounds like a truck....real nice growl from the exhaust. Its beefy looking and rides firm and tight. So those that call it shit....you need to provide a reason....most won't because they have no clue.

if you just want to measure how much the wheels articulate, why not just pick a fixed point on the truck (like the fender) and measure how far the wheel hub travels? you could measure frame articulation that way as well.

Just to add the numbers. A Tundra scores 484 and a Raptor scores 627 on the same ramp angle. So they would both win in this comparison. Just for fun - a Wrangler Rubicon stock would score around 850. And a bone stock Toyota Land Cruiser is 647. Toyota 4Runner is 538. Jeep Cherokee trailhawk 296 :(.

I think the Ram should have won this test but didn't because it was handicapped by not using that feature which is specifically for giving it max articulation off road. Am I wrong here? I hate when guys say "lift". The Jeep had a long arm suspension, longer Fox shocks and some sweet rcv axle shafts. But for 37" tires and the sway bar disconnected. It did just okay. My XJ with a similar set up running 33"s and a Currie antirock sway bar went further then that. Also to note, moving the front left tire further to the inside. Makes a bit of a difference too. Couple years from now, these guys will be pros tho. Good job TFL trucks.

So RTI is basically a percentage of the vehicle wheelbase that can make it up a 20 degree ramp without lifting a tire. 418 RTI means 41.8% of the Titan's wheelbase made it up the ramp before it lifted a tire, and 92.7% of that XJs wheelbase. A "perfect 1000" means the back tire touches the base of the ramp without lifting, i.e. 100% of the wheelbase. There is also more extreme RTI scale used by Four Wheeler for their top truck challenge that uses a 25 degree ramp as most TTC competitors will score a 1000 on the standard 20 degree ramp.

I love the newer Sierras and Silverados but GM, please, for the love of all things holy, put some better front bumpers on your trucks. They’re hideous, the extra 0.2mpg you get from having a bumper that’s 4” off the ground is not worth it in my opinion. It’s... a... truck... not a sports car.

Just put an aftermarket bumper on it if you're actually going to be off roading, and then you can put a winch on it which is a win win. These 'off road trucks' from the factory are meant for driving in snow, and the mud when people in the country want to leave their dirt driveways. They aren't mountain crawlers.

Had 2 nissans for work trucks both fell apart can't handle weight on the daily also had lots of electrical issues lights up like a Christmas tree but my dodge has held up nicely and pulls trailer straight in the snow in 4 years only had a fuel pump go which I think was a fluke
