I bought a new 2023 Frontier Pro 4X and the motor was awesome and the styling was very nice! But, the quality was a joke. Missing paint under the hood and in door jambs, sharp edges on door window sills, door gaskets falling off, driver's seat would magically recline on it's own while sitting overnight, and the transmission would kick down multiple gears on a mild incline while CC was on, causing the RPMs to nearly redline. There was just too much to fix and didn't want to go through the lemon law hassle, so traded it in on a new Tundra.

Reminds me of a high speed drag race we had by the cemetery behind McDonald's when in high school. One friend had an automatic Chevette and the other an automatic Pinto and at the end of a butt puckering 1/8 mile race and about 60 seconds later, the Chevette was ahead by a bumper.

Just traded in my 2020 Galdiator. Great truck...was trouble free, and loads of fun. Easily took 33 in tires, and was comfortable on long rides...2 things a Tacoma can't do. Then, remove the roof on a summer day and GAME OVER.
@MrRitchiecraig9 ай бұрын
Great video guys..... well done. It looks like the Turbo charged.Four cylinders can outdo the normally aspirated six cylinder. But honestly they were not that far apart. It'll be interesting to see the towing test though I will suggest the Ranger will take it. Ford has figured out how to get the torque down low and match the transmission to it. It is pretty cool that we have such a selection of mid size trucks that are very capable. You used to give up a lot of ability with the mid-size over a full size but not as much anymore.
@petenelson81369 ай бұрын
My son's got a Ranger, he'll be happy to see it finished 1st. We're going to look at and possibly buy a Catalina 25 (that's a sailboat) today, so lets hope it does as well towing as it did on the drag race. We'll certainly find out ourselves how well it tows with it weighing right at 6,000 lbs with the trailer boat and gear. His 2023 Ranger is 7500 lbs and his truck's door sticker says it has a 1443 lb payload capacity so we're good on both of those. If we buy it well certainly find out how it tows as we have a 3 hr drive from Lexington KY back to Indianapolis IN.

@302Mustang139 ай бұрын
It should do fine at that weight. It's not a weight I'd tow daily or a couple times a week. A couple times a month will be fine but I'd change the oil a little earlier during boating season. On the highway I'd use 8th gear.
