I love all the stupid comments about "my 1987 Toyota Celica could go through this course"... Shut up. Nobody cares. I could drive this course in my regular RAM truck, the video is showing off the Rebel and demonstrating some of it's off road capabilities. These guys go where they're allowed to go, they're not driving trucks that they own. They go to these media events where the manufacturer's let them drive the vehicles. People freaking expect you to buy a brand new truck for every video, and drive it up Mount Everest to review it, get real.

Guys... In the video at 4:45, it's a different truck... Looks like a Dodge 2500, you can see the chromed wheel cap and the 8 lug pattern, and what looks to be chrome RAM 2500 side badges, and the mirror is folded. Just before that, at 4:26 the Rebel is about to drive thru the water and has no side mounted camera just above the left rear wheel. TFL, please, I like you guys too much, please spare us this kind of editing tomfoolery.

This truck did not fail to compete against the Raptor because it was a Ram. It didn't even fail because of its engine option. It failed because engineers failed to commit to the off road capabilities and the overall distinguishing design of the vehicle. They slapped a grill on a regular truck frame and raised it,. The Raptor is a truck unique to its own devices.

I go through most of that just to get out of my driveway after a rain storm. the real bad stuff I go through to get to my fishing spot. this doesn't show what the rebel is really capable of. it's not a raptor, and is there meant to be. but it's a very capable truck of the showroom floor

Agree I live in NW and this shit looks like my childhoods street we live on lol Rebel a joke Dodge 5.7 H Raptor eats this truck for luch and never even has to try hard lol
@thestigmach19848 жыл бұрын
it does eat it, but you have to keep in mind even the design guy from dodge said it's not designed to be a raptor competition. it's designed as a lifestyle truck for people who occasionally go offroad to their favorite fishing or camping spot. not to go Baja racing. I don't need to go Baja racing, most people don't. it actually fits my needs very well, and a lot of other people, and plan to buy one soon hopefully. I hate when people say the raptor will destroy it, this is obvious. it's like saying a jeep wrangler will destroy a Ford escape in a off road. of course it will they were designed completely differently for different purposes.
@chrisweaver30658 жыл бұрын
Well that just goes to show how out of touch there team is and if you are gona give a Truck a Bad Ass name like Rebel for the love of God make the truck Bad Ass too :) That Truck gives Rebel a bad name loz
@thestigmach19848 жыл бұрын
they're not out of touch they just didn't want to build a Baja truck. it's not hard to build one. long travel suspension a lot of hp and a good 4x4 system and your good to go. not everyone can build a lifestyle truck that is compatible with all parts of life. a raptor realistically can't be driven daily. it uses way to much gas and wasn't designed for that. the rebel can be driven everyday gets good fuel mileage for a v8 and can also be taken offroad effectively. just because you want a raptor doesn't mean everyone else does. also at least it still has a v8. your beloved raptors now have baby v6 in them. the originals were cool with monster v8s, now they're just f150s with a body kit and suspension upgrade. boring

Wrong just traded my 2014 dodge 1500 Big Horn 5.7 Hemi for dodge 2500 Cummins diesel, and the Hemi only got 11-12 mpg(Freeway 16-18) and I had it 2 years.
