To be honest I feel the power wagon is the most underrated truck on the market. I have owned a 2012 Raptor 6.2 and now I currently own a 2018 Ram Power Wagon. To be honest I had zero mechanical issues with the Raptor up to 100k miles when sold. But I feel like the ultimate offroad vehicle has to have front and rear lockers with a sway bar disconnect. Now I know Raptor and Power Wagon are two different species. From my experience though out of all these between the Rebel, Gladiator, and Power Wagon it's the Power Wagon. Not only for towing but for just how big it is. I honestly believe it can tow way more than its rated for also. Anyway long live the underdog POWER WAGON !!!!

I would never buy a new Power Wagon, I have had a 79 Power Wagon, step side!!! Not the Little Express, my Power Wagon was one of the best, that I have ever owned, I got hit by a K car wagon, he was coming off an ramp and hit me, pushed the front axel several inches to the driver side, his wagon was destroyed, but I was able to drive my Power Wagon home, had to make a lot of wide wright turns, but I got home!!! In any new truck or car, it would be totaled!! By the way my Power Wagon destroyed the K Car!!! In the end it's not all about the interior, it's about how this truck can perform

The power wagon is really capable, the Jeep is small enough to genuinely off-road. That price is absolutely insane though. Sure I could buy a lower trim, but I don’t want to and shouldn’t have to. It should be mid 40s top trim for the gladiator.

If I had 60K, I sure as hell wouldn't spend it all on an instantly depreciable product that's worth about 45K the minute the tires leave the dealer's lot and hit the open road. I'm happy with my 26K used Ram 2500. To me, a wiser choice would be to spend 30K on a truck and the other half on physical gold and silver. But hey, to each their own.

It seems to me that ram owners are always under attack by the other truck makers, especially on quality, also still refer ram as dodge. Let's face the fact that all truck brands have quality control issues. Recent examples ford's recall on engine block heaters, & currently gm's transmissions issues. While fca is based in ITALY aka fiat, ford will eventually be merged with volkswagon based in GERMANY BOTH IN A FREE MARKET ECONOMY. While gm is is partly owned by the CHINEESE COMMUNIST STATE!

Nice video guys. I do get a little disappointed at FCA Power Wagon tow ratings though causing PW smack talk. That Power Wagon can safely haul BOTH those other trucks, together, on a big heavy gooseneck trailer simply by adding two cheap Firestone air bags, and i know that the bags don't hurt off road articulation either. I have a 2016 PW and have pulled 17000 in a dump trailer, on the rear receiver. And nearly every day, in that same 3500lb dump trailer, I pull an 8300lb Yanmar excavator, besides all it's extra buckets and accessories, for about 12k on the ball. So, people can keep crap talking Power Wagon tow capacity on the forums all they want. I KNOW what mine can do. I did install steel wheels to handle the higher daily loads because i wore out the bead area on the original alumies. Now to the half ton. No doubt that the half ton is amazingly impressive. I had a 2015 eco diesel half ton with 4 corner air, it blew my socks off with what it could do, but the PW can do even more, and longer and better with it's supremely beefy axles and frame.

Raptors are good for people who daily drive therr trucks and hardly take them offroad, if you took a raptor on a trail and put a jeep, or a powerwagon, or even and f250 with better tires it would be more capable, due to solid front axle and heavy duty suspension components.

The Gladiator Rubicon does NOT have a higher payload capacity than a Colorado ZR2. I have a 2019 ZR2 and I just checked my door sticker and it shows 1249 pounds of payload capacity. I imagine the Bison has lower payload because of the weight of the added armor, and a ZR2 with the light bar might lose some because of that...but a regular ZR2 without the light bar has a higher payload than a loaded Gladiator Rubicon.

When talking about the power wagon versus other off-road trucks, one very important factor seems to always get missed. Since the P-Dub is a Heavy Duty, that means that the frame, the axles, the hubs, etc. are built much stronger than any half ton or mid-size. So even though your payload and tow ratings are down in the half-ton space, the durability of the components is worlds better. That matters a LOT if you are regularly off-roading, giving your truck a pounding in the nasty stuff all the time. I always say that my Wrangler was the most expensive vehicle that I ever owned. That's because I was constantly fixing broke stuff on it. The P-Dub has held up wonderfully in the kind of use I put my vehicles through.

But for me, the deciding factor for the Rebel was driving it every day ON the road. And that does't mean the other two are crap, but it's the nature of a solid front axle vs the IFS of the Rebel. The power wagon package only comes with the 8 speed automatic if you want manual transmission then you get the Cummins diesel (I’ve been corrected 2018 was the last year of manual trans with diesel)

I really enjoy your videos, especially when they include the Power Wagon. For me and what I do, the Power Wagon is my only choice and is what I drive, and I tow a trailer off road with all my equipment. Their all good vehicles but I need the heavier truck with lockers.

I am tired of hearing that the prices are to high. It's called inflation!! Look at it in the past 10 years and the cost of cars/trucks have been increasing at the same rate. So yes, everything goes up but your paycheck. These car manufacturers are a business and a business has to make money to survive. It's up to the consumer to do your homework to get the best deal. I will used JL in a couple of years (when the kinks are worked out) and stay out of the dealership. Another thing us Americans are guilty of is we have no patience, we have to have NOW!! That's why we are over our heads in debt and paying top dollar for it. The PT cruiser and Nissan 350z ring a bell.
