I think it's a good template which can easily be adapted to any play style, especially since it doesn't require the charm or mantle/booster slots to get the job done. If you don't want or need Stun Resistance and Recovery Speed, you can swap them out for any other ailment immunity, elemental defence, etc. I basically never cart anymore, but I still routinely grab Safi'jiva's attention when playing the siege, which apparently means I deal good enough damage, right...? I hope this build helps, but to be honest, you'd probably be better off just listening to TGC! 😋

While I don't mind the armour skills changing, MT is completely optional and of course people forget that. However I do want to point out some things I would personally change out and hopefully for you to consider in future builds, if not that's perfectly fine: Recovery+ is a wasted lvl 4, not because "DeFeNcE" its more so the fact of its an end game build and so you would be using Health Regen Augments and if you're health is so low then you'd just eat a Max potion. Leaving this out means an attack boost+ or Mix Attack boost, or Peak Performance for example Expert 7 is unnecessary for the 100%, on a Safi hammer you'd use Expert 5 which allows you to free up some of those slots for attack boost or something else. Ofc this is completely optional. Blast Attack is also unnecessary and you could slap on Attack Boost or something else again against in this slot not only does it give you flat damage, it doesn't need to be constantly activated. Again, these are just my thoughts. I am not telling people what to do I'm just giving my point of view on where I think it could be fixed up better or be changed for people. Just tips.

@@Off_tomuch You wrong on one thing, Expert 7 is better than attack boost. Why? I explain Safi have 5%, Expert 5 have 25%, Weakness E have 50% on tenderize, agitator 7 have 20%. The agitator is like 95 percent uptime so its great, you should be wall slamming as soon as possible. The reason is You have to hit tenderized spot to get your 100% affinity. if not you got 80% crit. And i know damm well, even speed runners dont hit only tenderize spot 99% of time. That one percent they hit they upload youtube for you to see. 2 more level of expert or 2 level of attack boost. Attack boost 2 level give you 6 attack which is like 1% increase. Or miss a affinity hit and lose 35% damage boost from crit boost. Best sets for any play is 100% affinity without tenderizing. Dont look at speedrunners cause thats 1 out of 100 runs or more.

For me personally, I run all out offence because I know how to dodge most attacks in the game without a problem. Also dying after 2-3 hits (literally nothing in the game one shots you if you have at least health boost 3) kinda forces you to get good at the game and that's the kinda play style I like. However, your build is pretty good for people starting out or people who can't dodge properly, Idk why it's getting a lot of these salty comments lmao.

Hahahah funny thing is ive been using this kind of build with divine blessing secret a long time ago and tbh i never skip out on utilities like fortify and free meal because they proc so much for me haha and with these builds i studied the attacks and movements of each monster that im not familliar with and after harvesting their organs ill use a glass cannon build to shorten the hunt time in case im needing a specific part defensuve skills aint that bad if ur taking hits in order to learn something new

Personally I think fire resist is unnecessary against Yian Garuga, unless you’re fighting Teostra or Lunastra. He uses his fire attacks less than half the time. It’s like building wind resist for Nergigante.

gamefreak z True if you don’t readily have nulberries on you. Though if you’re elemental defence is high enough, simply eating for elemental res up L can increase it high enough to negate a specific blight.

I started adding speed eating 3 on my builds. I got 9999 mega potions now hoping it will decrease somehow. The whetfish fin+ event is so good it helps sets without masters touch become viable and save slots by not adding speed sharpening.

masters touch may not be necessary, but it's set really does carry all of the necessary skills you need for damage, that's why it's such a good set to use. Relying on defense is okay once you learn how a monster fights then it's better to dump those skills once you do. Relying on defense too much is just lazy hunting and it will quickly suck the enjoyment out of hunting a monster when it's so much fun to Iframe attacks and roars. Don't take every post as negative when everyone comments on the DBS5 just understand that it's just not really advised to build defense because the faster you kill the monster means all the defense skills are unnecessary.

That's not true at all, I actually agree MT is optimal for increasing your damage output by skipping a sharpen or two.... but then you would replacing a skill as powerful as divine blessing secret for the extra damage of not having to sharpen once or twice. It turns out with whetfish scales now easily farmable, and the design capcom is going with to reduce over reliance on MT, that you can use the incredibly efficient Gold rathian armor set, and pickup the second strongest defense skill in the game. I present this argument in my videos, and then you try to gas light by saying things like I am not open to criticism, which is the opposite, I learn the fastest by listening to every opinion. And there actually are people out there who simply hate on me, would you say I have no haters?

Why do u need to build MT if you can sharpen by whetfish? DB5 is much better in long run coz of it's RNG proc. This is an ok all-around build but here are some recommendations on how to better optimize it for those in the later endgame: 3-piece golden rathian- It won't be long before you encounter better ways to slot in health boost 3 into your build. Furious Rajang legs or crit/vitality, tenderizer/vitality and flawless/vitality are all more efficient ways to make sure you get +50 health. I recommend throwing out the helm for raging brachy, teostra, vaal, etc. Decorations- I recommend maxing out a single skill rather than having a ton of different lvl 1 or 2 skills (unless you want one level of coal or flinch free). Health regen augment will carry more of the burden compared to non-maxed recovery speed/up so they should be replaced for different comfort or dps. Additionally, if you REALLY want the blast attack skill, you're better off just using the teostra armor. Weapon- For those who just began their endgame trek, the lightbreak hammer is definitely easier to farm than the shattercrusher (collecting dracolite and rolling awakened skills) and functionally is very similar. You also get innate purple sharpness and an extra deco slot which can come in handy for optimizing builds for comfort, dps, etc.

All out attack is worthless if you cart or have to heal frequently. I'd rather a teammate sacrifice some attack for better survivability and uptime. Their overall damage output will be higher.

The dots are the skill points from decos in the mantles, it means that you'll get the skill to that lvl when you're using the mantle. Purple squares are the additional lvls you get from divine blessing/agitator secrets

I love this skill, too. A lot of people are saying it`s a bad skill, because it`s RNG. But I think this makes it`s even better. I don`t need this 12,5% DMG-Reduction on average, I want that sweet 50% when I get hit by a train, so that I can survive :)

Instead of the Blast +4, hard fire res, and recovery +4 use 3 KO/Vitality jewels and replace the vitality lvl 1 jewel with an expert jewel for crit eye lvl 7. The blast attack skills sucks on safi weapons cuz they have low base blast ailment, recovery up is ok but really isn’t necessary since you have a health augment, and fire res is only situational.
