Bill Holman is one of the best arrangers and composers in the history of jazz. I'm so happy to see that he is still in the game and kicking! Long life to the king.

Re alto saxophonist Danny Janklow on "'Round Midnight" and "Bemsha Swing": BRAVO! As one of Cannonball Adderley's recording colleagues once said about Cannonball, "He has time up the a--." This is equally true of Danny. Danny's mentor Dick Oatts should be proud.

I don't know. Maybe he knew the actors strike was coming and he thought he should boost his music career. Pretty good drummer, I would say.
