Honestly, I found the Bambellina section fairly intuitive (maybe I just think in the same way as the developers [the horror]) given that all the 'kids' are recordings and the order goes 'really smart', 'smart'. I think if the game gave you the ability to interrupt her and thus speed through once you'd heard the question once it would work a lot more smoothly. That said, if they wanted to make Bambellina the core focus of this chapter, I really think they should have built into her more. Maybe provide lore information before she turns up and have a few more encounters with her?

The Bambelina section did seem interesting, with the concept of it's supposed to be a kindergarten, there would be a learning section. It was interesting when you had to change from clique to clique to progress, wish they did more with that. The worst offense is, like you said, the dialogue is so droning and monotone that it makes doing the questions a chore. Maybe the devs wanted to simulate how school is to a kid, but considering the setup and the devs, I'm doubtful. I can think of a few ways improve the scene...slightly but I don't know how well it'll be. So, here's my take: first off, maybe more dialogue. Ik the voice acting is not great but just here me out. Allow the player to click the options before Bam finishes but make it kind of management like. If you interrupt her too fast, she'll show passive aggressive anger and if it happens again, she'll become angrier. Show that anger more instead of telling. Show her throwing or dragging the "student" who "interrupted" into the naughty and then her going back to normal. Show the heavy dents and cracks in the walls and on the students. Show the other students during the intermission being "afraid" and the different cliques having different reactions. Just make it interesting! Hell, have her have a ruler! Cliche as hell, but it's something if she's supposed be a teacher!

I think the thing that annoys me most is the set design. While games like Bendy and Poppy have locations that are a bit weird and far-fetched, they at least feel like an animation studio/toy factory respectively. Hardly anything about BanBan feels like a real kindergarten. Some of the areas are baffling in their design (for example the obstacle course thing, the giant ball pit with a random chair lift and the final area with just random red corridors). Some suspense of disbelief is required for a lot of mascot horror game locations in order to make them interesting to explore, but Garten of BanBan goes too far making it really just feel like random set pieces than a location that actually makes sense

i'm literally working on a satirical mascot horror concept (no planned release of any form of media just character and setting design experiments) and one of my biggest problems is how hard it is to put actual effort into designing a character in this style. the main mascot monster character is a cutesy marketable dragon plush with a shapeshifting mass of body horror like The Thing inside instead of stuffing which feels super out of place for a parody of this genre

I think the nabnab section would have been improved if instead of those random "world building" workplace tips on the wall, the wall warning explained that Nabnab was colorblind, and by design defaulted to following the arrows for ease of containment/control, hence why the colored arrows were there and why they had some pointing the wrong direction. Could have even had a funny lore doc about a colorblind employee complaining or somethin. It's a little thing, but I think the lack of little details like this adds up to make the project feel as soulless as it does. The lack of justification for certain elements, the lack of interesting details, the lack of... Any real play testing, if the Banbolina section is anything to go by, the lack of any interactions with the baby Opila birds, the lack of follow up *with* Opila Bird, the lack of an unexpected "oh shit" moment like the first game had, it all just mixes into this unpalatable sludge. Imagine FNAF 1 without the randomly changing posters, without the bite of 87, without custom night, without golden Freddy, without Freddy's power outage song, without the nose boop. The basic gameplay of the main game is practically unchanged aside from a couple niche interactions, but so much of the charm and character that game had is... Gone. There's nothing left to bite into after the main gameplay is done. And that's still not a good comparison to GoBB here because at least the basic FNAF gameplay is still fun at baseline and not slow, tedious, and frustrating with controls that don't work. GoBB... Had potential. Had something to work with. We all recognize, remember, and like Opila Bird #BirdUp for a reason. And they just didn't. I think that's why GoBB has enraptured so many people; it's the same reason Hello Neighbor did. It legitimately had potential and they just threw it away. Now, GoBB wasn't anywhere near Hello Neighbor's level at all, of course, but it's more that it's the same principle.

It's interesting seeing people talk about issues in the game. Everyone has differing thoughts on some of the mini games. "You can't see Nabnab unless you die" Yes you can. During the chase sequence you can look up, It shows Nabnab's movements, usually you want to just go as fast as you can through it otherwise Nabnab will just cut corners and get you, but you can see him during the entire sequence if you wanted to.

yo! i have protanopia (a form of colourblindness that affects the red receptors) and while i can see what you mean, the first puzzle is actually alright, colourblind people such as myself can distinguish between shades for the most part and afaik there isnt a blue/red colourblind where they might be mixed up (the colour most commonly confused with blue in colourblindness is yellow). of course i only speak for myself here and am not a fan of this game but for me the first puzzle was fine

When I played through the game the first time, I had all of the graphics maxed out. I didn't think much of it until the nabnab part. It is SO dark with the graphics maxed, it was virtually impossible to beat. I was only able to beat it after I messed with the graphical settings. Basically, I just turned everything down to low, with lighting on ultra or whatever.
