I don’t know why they insist on making the spin on films without Spider-Man. The only one I will defend is Venom. Despite not having the web slinger in it, it was actually decent though I will freely admit Tom Hardy saves both of those films. The others I have no desire to see at all.

exactly, character flaws are not bad writing, and people are not always logical and collected, especially when facing something like death from someone else who didn't see the movie, going off the description, it seems like the antagonist's primal survival instincts kicked in and made him go fight instead of fleeing or talking things out

I'm a firm believer that an outright bad/awful movie is better than one that's forgettable or can only be described as "not terrible" at best. Because at least you can often get some level of entertainment out of something that's really bad, or even discover some value by learning what you shouldn't do when making a movie. But something that you watch and can't really form a strong opinion on afterwards just makes it seem like a waste. Like, the only impression you're left with is "why did they even make this". Everything I've heard about this movie sounds like it's in the "it's not an outright catastrophe, but there's not really anything to praise, either." Basically , it's a cinematic nothing burger, and that's worse than being bad to me.

We just watched this movie today at 1pm. Terrible. One thing we noticed, the trucker called the cops on the girls because of the paper he was reading. I thought, and I could be wrong, all this happened on the same day at the beginning of the day. She was going to the funeral... saved them... went to the forest... then they went to the diner. How did they print ANY publications about their "kidnapping"? Hilariously bad!

@th3birdman You’re the first KZbinr I’ve seen review this movie that has read the comics so I wanna ask you this. Is the spider that bites Ezekiel the same spider that bites Peter? Since you were exasperated by the spider people I’m guessing that piece of information about the spider was probably something the writers made up too. That’s not my question though😂 my question is kind of based on the answer to my previous question. If it is the same spider that bites both Ezekiel and Peter, is that why Peter has his spider sense? Is Peter’s spider sense actually a potential ability to see into the future but because he never really explored this power and tried learning it and using it to its full potential he can only get feelings or “senses” of dangers of the near future? Is there something from the comics that could answer this? Or is it never explained and I’m just thinking too deep into this?😂😂😂

As someone who doesn't really hate the SSU (I like the venom movies, but am mixed on morbius), I believe it needs to step up. The story and writing needs to improve. At this point even Spider-Man being in it isn't really an issue for me (I like the multiverse idea), but the movies should feel like movies.
