This dish is absolutely delicious. As a Korean living with a Japanese wife, I've tried cooking eggs with all type of Korean/Japanese soy sauce, sesami oil, salt, korean fish sauce (액젓) and so forth but this easily beats any egg dish I could cook, very simple, too. Thanks for sharing this :)

when i was a kid my mom used to make this for breakfast but i never knew it had a name or its significance to thai culture (i'm only half thai and grew up in america and never learned how to speak thai so that might have played a role in my ignorance). but this was one of my favorite breakfast foods of all time. my mom would put onions in the eggs as well and i grew to love that flavor combo.

My mom showed me how to make this when I was little and it has been a staple in my life. It is extremely cheap, quick to make, and it is very delicious. If times get tough money wise, this is a dish that comes in handy. But this is something you will crave once you've tried it- especially with fresh jasmine rice.

This was my childhood food. I was a really picky eater growing up and my mom always told me that if I didn’t like what she made for the family, she would make me this instead. I was a real brat back then lol. Now I’m a college student and whenever finals are beating me to the floor, I make this and remember the good days.

I lived in Thailand for about 5 years altogether, the first meal I ate the night I landed in Bangkok was a Pork omelette and after one tasting, I was hooked, Im sure I had an omelette at least once a day the whole time I was there, so my cholesterol was sky high, but it was sooo worth it to enjoy the delightful Thai omelette! I want to learn to make it at home, but I feel so intimidated by this awesome dish, I'm too anxious to try making my own.

when cooking the second method, my mom taught me to use a fork n poke holes n loft so some of the running eggs can go to the bottom n not burn the middle if ur just pushing the side. I'm not thai, but we also cook eggs with chop green onions like the second method n it is so good eating it cold with rice in water, peppers n the cold onion eggs omelette during a hard days work.
