Olive oil doesn't stand high temperature (especially extra virgin kind) which often goes against the golden rule of stir frying-hot and quick. Besides olive oil have a very distinctive odours, which is just weird when pairing with Asian cuisine.

Cindyxcs technically any noodles can be used. As long as you fry it with soy sauce, it is pad see ew. Although it is usually flat noodle or vermicelli, glass noodle can be used as well. It would just be “woonsen pad see ew” lol

Made this tonight with prawns, bok choy, carrots, garlic, 1 Serrano chili, egg, and I had white pepper... It was really delicious! Although I seeded my pepper, it was a bit on the spicy side, so I will cut that in half next time. I made two portions, and my husband wants this in the regular rotation. It's one of his favorite dishes when we eat out at Thai restaurants. During quarantine I am trying to learn to cook a wider variety of dishes, and have been focusing on Thai, and Japanese foods because I like them the most so far. Thanks for the lovely recipe! 🥰

I love Asian food. I've been making a lot of Asian soups. Red Curry, Coconut-Lime Tofu Soup, Green Curry, Thai Coconut Soup. One day I hope I can eat solid foods again so I can make that and replace the chicken with tofu. Living on liquid food is very very hard and you get very hungry but it's been nice cooking a lot of different Asian soups. 😋😍

I'm luk krueng (1/2 Thai) and that is definitely Pad Woon Sen. I always use Sen Yai noodles in Pad See Ew. And palm sugar in the sauce mix. Other than that, Jimmy did alright.

I’ve just seen your channel yesterday.When I first listened to your English accent, I subscribed undoubtedly. I’m Thai. My mom’s seasonings of Pad See Ew consist of some dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, pepper, and dried chili powder; sometimes we add vinegar as well. My mom always adds eggs at the last step. This way, there is the smell of burning wok more. Hope you live well without COVID-19 through this year!

It's Pad See Ew Woon Sen. Not bad though. My aunt from Sattahip used to make the best Pad See Ew.

I'm Thai and this is legit Pad See Ew. But if I may, I would want to fry my garlic first and foremost (this is applied to all Thais food) and also used a big rice noodle (Sen Yai) instead of vermicelli, but I guess that's one hard to find in the state.
