Jeremy Burgess started as a mechanic with Suzuki GB in 1980 stayed with them for two seasons, then Honda offered him a job in 83 and the rest is history Yes he has no formal training as a bike mechanic all self taught from his own racing days, just one of those naturally talented people

Question for Keith as it might be his lucky year. Weather being bad and destroying everything, what track should replace valencia as season finale?
@KeithHuewen16
@KeithHuewen16 22 күн бұрын
It’s too early to speculate, but it’s a disaster for the region of Valencia. Our thoughts are for all those affected locally 🙏🏼 From a purely sporting perspective, it is surely paramount to race in Valencia or, at least, move the final round elsewhere. The Iberia region are lucky to have many options, including Portimao (which would be my choice)!

What do you think about Martin’s comments to Neil Hodgson on their track walk, when Martin told NH that Pecco always ends up copying his Data and settings Yes we know all the Ducati riders look at each other data, but when you championship rival copies your homework it must be annoying, satisfying at the same time knowing you’re better at that part than him

Shame about MM93 the under dog on the weaker bike 🤞🏻next year

I don't think Pecco would be as successful without all the eight Ducati bikes data that helps him look at others and bike setup and figure out what to tweak come Sunday . Mark and Martin don't need it...I don't think Pecco could do it on his own.

@@MrJoVaWa My point I was trying to make is that he takes longer and I think relies more on that data as opposed to Mark and Martin who seem to get up to speed right away without the data. But of course they look and review data too. No one except Ducati knows who the data is helping the most. Answer this question, why does it take Pecco the longest typically on the weekends to get up to speed?

Cal Crutchlow was one of the guys carrying out Jack like a rolled up carpet lol. Yes the motogp boring, starts off great but soon becomes a bit dull. Moto3, never dull. Marc seems to be the one who has the action in him. BSB and WSBK much better racing. The 300 championship is brilliant action. No race on earth will ever come up to the last round of the BSB at Brands, Kyle v Tommy was insane epic!

I never knew the story behind JB and that he was let go ? What I do remember though is when Rossi had bad results and was being beaten by the younger riders etc. JB said to a few jerno's that every rider will reach a stage where they are no longer as fast as they once were, and Rossi was the rider he was referring to. Next thing he was gone. Did Rossi see it differently re his speed and kick him out?

Don't cast aspersions on MX racers - we earned our reputation Another great podcast. Chains? Having raced with a shaft drive, I will take a chain drive every time. With a chain drive you get much better consistency. Zonta v Tony. The marshall appeared to be running towards Tony which I expect took Zontas eye off what he should have been looking at. Not certain of todays guidelines as I haven't had FIM status for 20 years, but it used to be in our guideline to tell marshalls that nobody is allowed to enter a race track unless there is a flag displayed. I think it read waved, but can't remember. The pit entrance is considered a part of the race track.

Jack Miller maybe a nice guy but he is a bit over rated. He spent most his time on a factory Ducati getting in the front at the beginning of the race, then being a rolling road block and finishing no where near the podium.

I gotta comment on that pit lane crash. When you're coming in fast his wouldn't been able to tell if he was going faster or almost at a stop. He was ignoring the Marshall that was telling him to get off the bike and to stop. So i see it more Tonys fault then anyones. The Marshall shouldn't have been on any part if a live circuit without a flag. The two that wasn't supported to be there was Tony and the Marshall, so how they going to punish the only guy that was supposed to have that kinda speed in the pitlane entry. He wasnt even vlose to the slow down marker. He noticed what was going on when he was right up on them when he grab the brakes hard enough to nose wheelie. His eyes was locked on the Marshall cause he shouldn't been running down the pitlame.

Regarding Frankie, I suspect you're right Keith. Like most, I can only go on what I see and read, but I suspect he's well paid and certainly won't have the company pressure like at Ducati ... just look how they celebrate with podiums and not firsts. But then again, it's hard to imagine working with with someone like MM who is the greatest rider of the modern generation...but again, look how he celebrates non-victories.. Great people are complicated beyond mere mortal understanding and perhaps FC is in this league too...
