This is the earlier 272 hp v6, not the 306hp bluefficiency v6 launched in end 2011 onwards.

the german 'heftiness' is a myth. Not only the heaviness suggest under-developed design and material inefficiency, the weight has cost them losing wars. Like in WW2 the heavy Panther battle tank was rushed into service and again like the Tiger tank it was over its design weight with a lot of teething troubles. In the end they lost the ground battle to allies with their more efficient tanks.
