Interestingly enough, cemetery and graveyard are not necessarily synonyms. A graveyard is usually attached to or within a churchyard, while a cemetary is generally much larger and independant. Based on the image, Thancred's far more accurate than Urianger in this instance. ... Sorry, if the infodump is unwelcome.

Technically, there is a definable difference between a cemetery and a graveyard. As the yard part of its name implies, a graveyard is usually found in churchyard, and thus typically accompanying said church, whereas cemeteries are usually standalone.
