Carver was the 1st governor but died early on and was succeeded by William Bradford (my 12th great-grandfather) who was re-elected 30 times and whose diary entry about a fight almost happening between the Puritans and Indigenous somehow turned into the "story" of Thanksgiving (it wasn't anything like what we learned growing up). So yeah, Roth can make a film without a lot of historical accuracy because our entire concept of Thanksgiving is based on nonsense. Fun film though - fine holiday fun.

"Plymouth, Massachusetts not Michigan" - As a Brit, I was kinda expecting a reference to Plymouth, England. Some Kill Counts I wait to watch until I've seen the movie, some I don't; but this was the first one since The Black Phone where I started it and stopped after the intro because it piqued my curiosity! Fun mystery setup, I'll try and watch tonight.

The most unrealistic part of this movie was it trying to convince me that visibly 60-year-old Gina Gershon could still get pregnant

To be fair, some people do hit menopause late. It’s possible for someone to still be fertile at 60, though it would almost certainly be a higher-risk pregnancy.
