Hey Larry, not sure if you've done this already or not, but you should review Walmart's $5 rotisserie chicken. I think it's really good, and compared to buying a whole raw chicken and cooking it yourself, it's actually cheaper! I'm interested to see what you think about it. Also, I'm a dark meat man, but I like to make sammiches and chicken/turkey salad out of the white meat.

Marie Calendar has a meal with two pieces of actual chicken (leg and thigh) mashed, and corn, for less then $3 that is the best, simply amazing. I got em for about a month this year, and they were always sold out or discontinued ever since. Banquet has a $10 box of fried chicken pieces, but you can only buy it at circle K / 711. Grocery Stores don't carry it, I guess because it competes with their own deli fried chicken.

These meals are a life saver in a pinch. Turkey bricks are awesome but have a unique consistency problem with certain brands. They also take 2 1/2 hour's to 3. That's a long wait for cooking time. I often stick a finger in (if it's my own meal) to check the temperature. Also, I have a 900-watt microwave, which is lower wattage than the 1100-watt default assumed in most microwave entree cooking instructions, so I go for the high end of the suggested cooking times for that wattage - or if directions for a 700-watt (college dorm) microwave are also included, I split the difference between the 2 sets of cooking times.
