Could we just stop assuming that "Thanos" means the Infinity Gauntlet? Pitting someone against ANYONE with the Gauntlet basically takes the wearer of the Gauntlet out of the picture, since no one has power that approaches that of the Gauntlet. It's like me saying I can take out Bruce Lee, as long as I have a shotgun. Did I win the fight, or was it the shotgun? For this matchup, if you're going to say that Thanos isn't a match for Apocalypse without the Gauntlet, or even a partial Gauntlet...then Thanos loses, doesn't he? It's ridiculous. You could give the Stones to PeeWee Herman, and he will be able to take out anyone. If you're going to pit two characters against each other, it should be THEM, not weapons that they had temporarily. The "winner" of this fight isn't Thanos, it's the Gauntlet, and you even admitted that yourself, when you said that Thanos doesn't have a chance without it.

Someone who gets it. Even Thanos in the comics is op without the guantlet and has several powers outside of the guantlet. He literally doesnt even need it. Plus he's went for the cosmic cube, heart of the universe, and even obtained powers of the one above all. But I agree, Thanos is not to be identified with the Guantlet all the time. He's more than enough without it already. Comics Thanos has cosmic awareness, cosmic eye beams, immense durability, healing factor, immense super strength, can fly but chooses to teleport on his chair, has technical and mystical augmentations to his already immense power, he has telekinesis, matter manipulation, and I'm pretty sure that's not all. And on top of all his countless powers, he is a master strategist, fighter, and most of all is very very very smart. Its his deadliest weapon. His mind. He's immortal due to Mistress Death. Thanos didn’t really show that much power in the moon scene. He only managed to pull a few chunks of the moon while he looked like he was really trying his best. Apocalypse destroyed Cairo within a few minutes casually whilst constructing a massive pyramid with more detail than most modern structures. I think his telekinesis is WAY more powerful and skillfull than Thanos’.

Idk about the MCU, but Thanos is far more powerful. Apocalypse is a planetary threat whereas Thanos is universal. Thanos has strength, can teleport, has telepathy, a healing factor and is hella damn durable. Apocalypse is an Earth level version of Thanos and I love Apocalypse. But no Thanos will eat Apocalypse like he was a snack.

Thanos wins more times than not but don't underestimate Thanos capability to underestimate the unassuming versatility of Apocalypse for him to strike a fast disintegration kill or something similar. If Thor with Stormbreaker while Thanos had a full infinity gauntlet could catch Thanos slipping than Apocalypse with his speedster level reflex and wildcard powers can hold his own.

If Thanos underestimated Thor and Stormbreaker while he had a full infinity gauntlet, he definitely has the capability to underestimate Apocalypse and with Apocalypse versatile and deadly power set and his speedster level reflexes, he could take alot of the fights by that sheer factor.
