friend of mine was putting up a fence his neighbor started screaming at him about it being 4 inches on his side of the property line. So he got the property surveyed. turns out the guy was right about the fence being on the wrong line. he was wrong about the side it was on and the amount, my buddy gained two feet of property and moved his fence over accordingly.

A coworker of mine had this problem due to the developer making a mess of the landscaping along the boundary line between two lots. Don't plant trees and shrubs along the property line. The two owners will never agree on what to do with sick trees and shrubs. The survey company called in to precisely mark the property line spent days trying to make sense of the poor quality property maps the two owners had been given.

1) When my dad was putting up a new fence we discovered where the property line was. My neighbors were dicks and hated us for no reason. But then it turned out our connecting fence would leave a large gap once the new one was up, and since they were not willing help pay for it, my dad told the worked to not install anything to close the gap. Let out neighbor pay for it if he wanted to seal the gap at his gate. 2) How is it possible that two houses next to each other do not have the same layout in the suburbs? I mean in my suburban town, we have different models of houses, but built at different eras. The block i live on has about 20 houses all the same, and then the rest of it was forest area. They tore down the forest and but up new houses, which were a new model. then tore down more forest and but up more houses which were another new model, so we have around 6 different models of homes on my block, and then my town's main street has two models of houses, ones like mine and ones that different. Point is, the houses that look like mine were all built at the same time. Red and Bob's houses were probably built around the same time as well, meaning they should be the same model.

Different builders. Honestly it’s weird that you say you live in an estate and all the houses are pretty much similar. Here in Australia at least you’ll get anything up to 10 different builders in an area and they’ll all have 6-10 different designs for 1 level and another 3-4 for 2 level houses. So you end up with anything from 1 of 100 different designs. Of course styles of the time will carry over from house to house so you’ll end up With a similar traits on some houses but not the same everywhere.
