My mom told me to do my homework every day; watching this was the only homework I needed. As a matter of fact, I would be knocked out asleep until this song plays, all of a sudden, I'm wide awake. Lol, these are timeless memories. And get this, kids: I watched it in black and white because my mom wouldn't let me watch the color TV but she forgot I had a b/w TV in my room. Lol, I'm probably the only kid who didn't know Donna had red hair, but this song hit so hard on that TV, always woke me up. I miss it. I watched every episode, first-run, from 2001 to 2006 in black and white and I never knew this was a color show until years later when reruns came on. I feel like watching this in black and white was the most authentic television experience I ever had.

I grew up with the 70s, loving the 90s. The 70s was made for the 90s kids (20 yr difference) and the 90s for the 2020s (30 yr difference). Same theme (coming of age) different era. Dig the flip from awkward teen boy to awkward teen girl. I miss the canned laughter, the "white" innocence, the nostalgia. It's about having a safe place to come-of-age.
