It's a "blessing" when mother cow can deliver her calf on her own and with a ideal weight ( 65/75. lbs ) Yes, I heard those baby kittens in the back ground. Stay safe and warm everyone!!!!

I haven’t laugh so hard in a long time as #48 wandered around the barn reorganizing several items. Reunions can be tricky sometimes. Mom just wanted to be super careful that the barn would be safe for calf #6😊

I don't know if it matters but the cap for the paste was on the top of the bucket....may have fallen into the hay but I think it was still on the top of the bucket when Carrie carried it out. (Ya, I'm one of those detail-oriented people and I drive people crazy! LOL Carrie is phenomenal by the way. I give her so much credit - she's up for anything (the never say die type!) ! Love the facts that no matter how many times we move cows and calves it is a unique experience. #49 was looking for a shortcut to the baby. I laughed the whole time. I grew up on a farm and it is days like this I don't miss. You always have that one stupid cow or bull. Especially when they get out of the pasture. You do a great job with your animals. Love watching the videos.

You were quite brave in putting that rodeo online, but I'm glad you did. My daughter really wants to marry a farmer and raise cattle, but she has never been around them. I did grow up on the farm, so I showed this to her as a good example of what can happen with a half wild first calf heifer. We picked the video apart together to see what went wrong, not to be critical of you, but to understand how to handle a half wild heifer. After watching that video that closely, I'm very impressed that you didn't lose your temper or take it out on Kerri. Everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong, some of which could have been prevented by closing a gate, or making sure to close a door behind you, and some of which was all the heifer. Who would have thought she'd have gone through a headgate, jumped over a tractor hitch, plowed into a pile of stuff, or jumped on the fender of an antique pickup? I shudder to think what damage was done there. Thank God she didn't smash those new kittens when she went through the head gate. Kudos on keeping your temper.

Re-watching this year’s 30 in 30. Great times, but still mourn over the loss of Blockhead. Number 48, his Mom was my choice to calve first. Anyway… got my Cracker Jack t-shirt. Had a bad odor, washed it, and now wearing it proudly. Cracker Jack is my favorite animal on the ranch.
