I don't think asleep, I think this was done on purpose and that they felt they can clean up AFTER easier than they can prepare joe to get the country ready for another conflict starting up there. He can't blame the other administration being at fault. He is the buck that decided that it wasn't in our best interest to keep presence in Afghanistan, something we cannot afford to not be there at least a little bit. When you're not somewhere that has proven to be a dire threat to the country, you've really ramped up what it may cost by not being there.
