To be honest I kind of like that empty sinking feeling you get whenever you finish a book or series you loved. It’s sad but a good kind of sadness I can’t explain.

How about that feeling when you’re kind of enjoying a book, but not that much, then you buy your next book to read and you end up racing through the end of the current book just to get to the next one, which will surely be better. Just happened with me and A Little Life; now I’m onto Dune.

This isn't a problem if you always have more than one book on the go. Right now I'm switching between 2 books, 3 audiobooks and 2 comics. Of course, this might be a problem in itself...

Every time! I keep multiple books on standby for when I finish a book because I never know what I'll be in the mood for next, its usually never what I was planning on reading either! But I have to hardcore FORCE myself to start a book the same day I finish another, otherwise I end up not reading for weeks as I slowly slip into depression 😅 It's why I usually focus on Long Series and avoid standalones.
