Massive props to Denis for sticking around for a second album. I really feel like Drag Me Out is his true calling especially considering he and the guys couldn’t make D&D work.

It’s silly we need to give props for staying with a band past one release haha, but yeah I’m glad they’re sticking together and doing more music. I’m excited for the album.

I only liked a couple tracks off The Black and I like those ones more than the DMO stuff but it’s cool that it does feel like a continuation of that era of Asking. Just not entirely sold on the overall direction but I like certain elements a ton.

I’ve been a huge fan of Dennis since he was in MakeMeFamous. Love this sound! Pumped for another release from him 👍 you guys sound so fucking similar BTW lol

For the most part, I think the song itself is fine, but the effects they used in production for the clean vocals don't do them justice. Pressure's cleans were amazing, cause the filter they used was very simple and sounded far less 'produced' or overdone. It was basically just like hearing a clean-cut version of his vocals with almost no editing, but the cleans on this record seem to be produced a little too much for me. Denis is an absolutely fantastic vocalist, but it's kinda sad to see them mask his cleans with those effects.
@christianlgrey_2 жыл бұрын
I can hear what you’re saying on the singing, you mentioning that made me think again about the screams too and I like how those are produced however almost every scream is layered to hell lol kinda makes it all muddy/sound the same. Where layers usually make certain parts stand out or emphasize certain phrases. When everything’s layered / “sounds big”, then none of it actually sounds that big. IMO.
@Chizuru942 жыл бұрын
Hm, this would explain a lot for me. I like the stuff, esp. this new song, but like Chris said, smth seems to be missing :o This would partially if not fully explain it for me. And I liked the first DMO album a LOT.

I loved Denis since above92 I feel like he was only used in Asking Alexandria to make Danny's return more memorable.

Haha you can really tell you had certain parts in your head to follow up parts on the song and they didn't deliver on that. I'd love to hear what you imagined at those parts and if I would have preferred it to the original song (I bet I would ;))
@christianlgrey_2 жыл бұрын
At the end of the day it’s all just preferences and opinions but yeah def parts I personally would have done a lot differently for my personal taste for this kind of music. But that’s a part of music I love is that everyone’s different and writes with their preferences. As long as the band is stoked on their stuff that’s honestly all I really care about even if some parts lose me because I don’t like the direction the songs take at times haha

What happened? Lol, the production and energy on the main riff is at 100 while the rest of the song is at 60

The genuine rush of adrenaline I felt when hearing that intro was unreal haha. But yeah rest of the song was cool, but didn’t blow me away to the extent that riff did. Even though you could argue the riff is basic/generic but I don’t care. Sounded fucking awesome to me haha
