The Deck is down for keeps, now I can get on with the major projects that have been waiting to be done. First is to deal with any gaps in the joints and then onto the deepest and most dangerous cut of all. That's a Big Hole in our new Catamaran Deck.

Both you and Janet deserve to be proud of what you've accomplished. You've come so far and you've still got a lot to do ,but now you can see what you will have when the day comes you are finished and you both can enjoy all the hard work you've put into building this beautiful boat. It's great seeing the excitement and how happy you both are. This project is so well thought out and built so strong its going to be the boat everyone wants to have. Just pace yourself and try not to over do, I think just about everyone gets concerned with you working to hard. Congratulations she's going to be one beautiful boat that's going to give you years of enjoyment. Both you and Janet deserve all the good times ,you've both earned them.

Roscoe what an amazing job your are doing. I keep saying you are a very very intelligent man to build your own boat like this and I've watched you from the beginning. You know what you have to do and how all the chemistry works so I have faith in you that it will be so amazing. I think I will take a trip down to see you Launch when the time comes. Keep your eye on the prize One step at a time . Brilliant video well done Janet for all the work you do as well. great team. xxx.

Any person achieving anything by the sweat of their own brow should be proud, doubly so, when you're making what has to be one of the best ever made, cats out there. I've seen quite a few guts of these things (mostly online) and the horror stories that accompany them and i can say without shadow of a doubt in my mind that this is indeed one of the best. This is better actually than what some millionaires get, based on how many core repairs some of their yachts get.

Structural strength. A lot of weight in that section and for many years to come. 3 sheets of plywood. One per sid and for the centre lift area, glassed and bonded will give you all the support you will need so that there is no flexing. Just a thought! No, there will be no divorse over that lol

Good grief! How you have the guts to chop away at a finished part I don't know. I understand the forethought and preparation, but still, getting the saw out and making those cuts, not sure how I'd feel about doing that. I think that's the power of having a clear vision of what you want it to be and also being extremely skilled with the medium you are working in, knowing that you can fix it and make it stronger than what it was. More power to you guys!

Hi Ross ! Looking at stair mods you're applying, and while I can't see an escape hatch of necessary size for you, maybe Janet could squeeze out a rectangular porthole. But then it occurred to me is one even advisable ? Generally cat's don't sink since the don't require massive ballast attached to keel... if upended while belowdecks, that may bear thinking about vs an escape hatch. What do the rules require in your area ? Yes, yes, I see there remains a lot to "thunk on" in design decisions. (I used to work in AC Carrier and Submarine Design Facilities at Newport News Shipbuilding) everything is a host of compromises ! Think thrice, measure twice, cut once... (or more if needed he he)

Im starting to think who ever sold you the molds did not sell matching molds.. while 15 millimeters doesnt seem to be that much.. the fact is, youve had to modify the top mold to fit the bottom mold in many places... .Just an observation..

Nag,the mould was cut in half, drooped, and sagged over the years, but I do believe they never exactly matched,All good and very easy to fix.Ihave reinforced and matched them as xloae possible.Ae are talking g about a 44foot long,25 foot wide mould that weighs tonnes and had several moves in its life.

@@LifeOnTheHulls tyvm for the response. I just dont understand why you had to split the port and starboard upper deck to fit the lower deck.. understandably there is swelling/shrinkage from one part of the country to the other.... Im not trying to make drama of any kind. just observing what I see. Again, tanks for the correction. However, if the mold "drooped" to the center it would not need an expanded gap to the top deck.... obviously Im missing the point.. maybe your fixing the centerline expanded the outer lines of the original boat lines is the answer... (fyi, no criticism from me on that)... it just got me thinking ... Anyways, love the videos.. and love your workmanship.
