Doug is 100% right. Rather than legacy banning to try and force a low powered sealed format, it’s actually nice to embrace the fact that sometimes one of the contestants is just going to pull crazy, or strategize their pulls better. Also Gage’s personality is wild on a call with Doug and Farfa; we see a little of this in Progression lately but not this much. I love it!

I think a few cards like Zeus are too powerful and easy to use and should probably be legacy banned (maybe allow some sort of consolation craft or something if you pull them. If not a full craft maybe every 2 or 3 banned cards you pull allow you to craft something from the pack the week you hit that threshold so that way pulling banned stuff doesn't feel as bad)

There’s an argument for a more recurrent banning system, which Doug covered, but no individual cards in this format as has been proven time and time again needs a super ban on top of that. Make someone in this three-person format waste a ban choosing to kill payoff or engine. Zeus is fun to see when it goes off, but it’s not like an auto-win. Sometimes it’s just an “oh shit” button without any follow up.

Gage’s Shark costume got him some awesome catches in terms of bolstering Kashtira Guardians into nearly a top tier meta control deck. Insane pulling two Unicorn, which wins games banishing the extra deck and bridging into Birth or Theosis. Farfa was definitely cooking with Fur Hire Runick. He generated so much advantage from the Fur Hire effects ON TOP of Fountain draws. I was very impressed seeing that work. Doug definitely got lucky with Rescue-ACE, but it definitely suffered without Turbulence being able to go +4 in advantage. I can still see that working in the future if he is able to craft Turbulence from the Loser Wheel. These were Heavyweight duels on both Farfa and Gage’s deck. What an episode!
