@@aishah7730 It wouldn’t be boring, at least if they went out and started their own pharmaceutical company to design their own products. Every new episode can cover a completely different synthesis and thus a completely different series of chemical reactions. We wouldn’t just only have enantiomer-selective reductive animation of phenylacetone, like we’ve been seeing with the canon Breaking Bad series over and over. (Plus, I think it would be really interesting to see Gale step into the role of mentor for Jesse and contrast his mentorship style with that of Walt. Jesse, in turn, can mentor others like Badger and Pete, once he becomes sufficiently advanced enough in organic synthesis so that he can even design his small-molecule drugs and predict their efficacy/toxicity.)

Honestly, they should have went further into this coffee thing. Walter's money laundering business could have been that he starts up a Cafe and makes really, really good coffee. It's an easy explanation (just tell family members that it's because Walt used his chemistry genius to discover a really effective way to make coffee) and then turn those cafes into a money laundering franchise that could rival Los Polos Hermanos.

The problem with the car wash was ultimately that it was too much money and inconsistent (“who pays for a car wash with $50 bills?”) and the cafe would’ve run into the same issue. Something extravagant like the laser tag really was the best option for laundering large amounts of cash in Walter’s case. Gus could only manage with opening several restaurants and even then it required a ton of manpower and most the money was going toward the cartel rather than his own savings.
@PeteHwang3 жыл бұрын
Gale was catching on too quickly, and he knew chemistry, which would risk Walt in being eliminated once he figured everything out. Jesse knew how to cook, but just the methodology. He didn’t know the exact details to get that 99.9% purity. This made him the perfect partner for Walt. It also shows how protective Walt is of his formula.
@aa-ze5cz2 жыл бұрын
Well that's the whole point of the show... Breaking Bad. Once Walt got a taste for the 'power' he couldn't let go and didn't want Gale to learn the formula. Walt was the one who 'built this' in his mind. This is a VERY common mindsight in every day life, especially with men (and I'm a man, it's just how we are). Money, fame, and power. Men typically want 2 of the 3. Money Walt had. Fame, not really... money can bring you fame but that's a little tough when you deal in illegal activity and where your cash is coming from... the last was POWER. That's what Walt had because effectively he was the only one that could do it... even Gale later admits he could only get it 96% pure which would matter, and Gus brings Walt back. Walt craved the power. For a man that got taken over by his former business partners and was loved but felt he wasn't respected by his family... just a boring chemist High School teacher who got cancer... he craved the respect. "I AM THE DANGER!" That was his character... and hence the entire title "Breaking Bad."
