Have you ever tried The Cursed Princess Club? It's a lot funnier and deeper than that, it's a really well-made and well-thought story which the author really seems to like (such as ending Season 1 anda starting Season 2 right after because they were really excited). It's almost finished and I really really would recommend it

I’m gonna be honest snaillord the creator literally said that they hated the series, and that it was very rushed and very forced, and that they didn’t like the series at all and in my opinion their new series. Death rescheduled is actually really good. Edit: so I haven’t read death rescheduled in a while and everyone in the comments was saying that it’s not that good and so I went and read the new chapters and I have to give it to you guys. You guys are kind of right now High Hopes the plot is pretty interesting so I’m hoping it’s gonna get better. Edit 2: some of y’all are missing the point completely the point is Snail lords chose it and he didn’t mind that he liked the series and he was actually putting in effort, but then his manager started to drag it out and add random tropes and things into the pot that weren’t actually supposed to be there, making it feel rushed because those things are popular and they wanted more money. The point is snail lord always enjoyed the series, but his manager took away his creative freedom and replaced it with things that were popular to get more money and so he lost all motivation for the product because he wasn’t even being given freedom anymore. He’s instead been given a list of popular tropes to check off for each chapter.

Why every webtoon protagonist has to be an art person. Damn I know we like to make self inserts, but the pattern of MC that have the dream of being an artist/comic writer is getting tiring.

It could be that authors don’t really want to make mistakes or make incorrect representation when it comes to other jobs, and if a character is a lawyer for example it would be a bit tedious for them to research and learn how the job is etc, but artist, they already know how it’s like so it’s much easier for them to do an artist mc when they’re lazy, and apparently the author of freaking romance isn’t into the story that much so makes a bit of sense to choose the low effort research occupations. But to a degree the author’s own experiences will affect how they write a story in general so inevitably each story to a degree is a self insert or a power fantasy of some sort, a lot of authors would try to be subtle about it though. Eg for Star Wars, Luke Skywalker is a self insert for George Lucas, even Luke with his last name initial, “Luke S.” sounds like the creator’s last name. So self inserting is very common lol

Not really a self-insert, most of his qualities don't match up with mine, but some of his interests do as a way to pay homage to the fact that he was my first serious OC. I’m pretty neutral about the webtoon but like just saying Zelan ? Isn’t a ghost, the apartment Zylith lives in is also the apartment Zelan lives in, in an alternate universe. The apartment is kind of like a rip in the multiverse causing 2 people from completely different universes to interact and see each other. Zelan is a regular dude with a job and own life (well he’s technically famous in his universe). So yeah, freaking romance is technically about falling in love with someone from a different universe, the ending though is slightly weird, especially the way the author tried to make it smut but still make it pg in way? Hard to describe but it’s okay to me

I liked the set up a lot, romances have a pretty predictable plot so I thought this would easily be a great read. However the author kept on adding ideas into the story until it fell apart and then rushed to a conclusion. The author is great at establishing interesting characters and scenarios not so great at completing them. Which is why I think Snailogy is their best work.

I think that was because of webtoon itself tbh. Like he went on a few hiatuses while working on this and I think webtoon did what they do best and made him milk the story until it was dry. The ending was rushed on purpose because he was so sick of having to work on this, he didn't even really participate in the ending chapters if I remember correctly

Imo i saw ressemblance between them(BF and author) based of my understanding from back then of author(their comics on their everyday life) not liking your comics doesn't prevent you from a self insert i think. The best Friend made me think pretty much of author since at around those Time in the comics about their everyday life they more described themself as female or mâle depending of mood even thought most often feel male Hence the final decision in one chapter to go with 'he/them' pronoun iirc. i like snailord’s work. i havent read snailogy, but ive read some of death rescheduled and completed freaking romance. personally, i think freaking romance is really good - until the end. i feel like the whole sci-fi dimension where monsters reign supreme was really silly. the plot was dragged on and snailords got burnt out. i remember on instagram he mentioned hating working on freaking romance because of some of his own issues. webtoon probably dragged it out because i saw it everywhere on instagram ads in 2021 😭😭 it started amazing but ended mediocrely some webtoon suggestions: trash belongs in the trash can, marry my husband, operation true love, only hope, love advice from the great duke of hell, and the makeup remover (all of these are amazing btw…!)

Many of the artists are overworked, underpaid, and pushed way over their creative limit (+they lose lots of creative rights) just so webtoon can keep on getting rich. It's not the author’s fault, but Webtoon’s.

Snailords story ideas and concept are all very interesting and right up my alley it's just that Imo he's not good at writing romance, I mean he basically admitted that he's not very interested in that aspect. He made freaking romance just to try something new and romance was a very popular genre on Webtoon. It did give him the push to do the story that he loves most and gain a new audience in the process. Anyway I think his writing can be better especially in death reschedule because it can get all over the places.

honestly this was the first snaillords webtoon that got finished, and probably the only one too. I used to look at stories and loved the premise and then it was like oh wait it is by snaillords, it will get so many chapters, go off the deep end randomly, go on hiatus, then get deleted and never be finished and maybe get reuploaded to get the same treatment. makes me wonder if cause webtoons advertised it they stuck this one out. merryweather is kinda similar but at least their stories stayed on longer. happened three times with the blue haired guy story, and a couple times with other stories i dont even remember now nor is there any traces left of those stories either on webtoon.

Omg the title totally got me, as I used to love this webtoon as a tween and was surprised to see someone even noticing it, much less trash talking it(or so I thought). I hated the end of this, it basically just through the entire plot up until the final chapter out the window, introduced at least 2 important characters that couldnt be bothered to show up... and what happened during the time skip was never addressed and the audience was supposed to just magically understand.

In all honesty art degrees can get you into a lot of things that are art related but you're not gonna be drawing and stuff. Like marketing, leading teams and just things like that. If you're only looking for art jobs of course you're going to be underpaid but if you're opening your horizons to a lot of what an art degree can offer then you'll be set.

Even that depends a lot know many people that make +20k per month making art, had a friend that started being a full time artist last year and is getting between 5k to 7k, is just that too many artists are quite dumb and try to start their careers on social medias that most big payers don't give a crap, like Instagram or Twitter, and don't invest on professional places like Behance or Linkedin or worse don't even send their portfolio to companies like they think they are the holy grail and not like any job that is you that need to show interest not the other way around.
