Omg the whole plot of Julia having a corrupt perception of love could have been really interesting. For example, instead of simply trying to form a relationship purely for sex, she could have been closed off to the idea of a relationship all together. However, she meets someone and slowly over time starts to fall for him, leading her to question her own perception of love. It could have been a cute wholesome story about a girl finding acceptance, questioning her beliefs, and not letting her childhood hold her back from finding love. Edit: I also want to mention that Julia discovering if she was aromantic/asexual would have also been a cool idea!

The one problem I have with that idea is that it's way, way too common to see characters who aren't interested in romance being converted because they just haven't found the 'right guy' and it's very upsetting for an aromantic person to see this all the time. The idea isn’t necessarily bad. Someone’s perspective on love is ruined at an early age so when they desire a relationship, they think it’s only related to boning. But to do a story like that, it requires the writers to be very careful and respectful. Here, the creator tries to tackle the subjects with all this wholesomeness and lightheartedness which doesn’t work in the slightest.

Thank you for saying. I don't think it's wrong to have Julia be brash and ignorant in this case, because clearly she has issues she needs to work out and a lot of learning. It's not bad writing to have a character with flaws(especially flaws that we don't find justifiable), but it can become bad if the author doesn't illustrate how deliberate that is. I don't think this webtoon is that bad, but it needs a lot of reworking for it make better sense imo

Oo! There is already a type of WEBTOON like this where the main protagonist has a toxic outlook on relationships and is only in it for sex (this probably isn’t a good description, you’d have to look yourself). It’s called "Ruthless" and it’s honestly really good and not as obnoxious as this WEBTOON. I will say it is a GL (Sapphic) as I prefer reading LGBTQ+ stories on WEBTOON (they tend to be more well written than hetero stories on WEBTOON from what I’ve noticed). It also tends to require you to watch a lot of ads for new episodes.

While it may look horrible, at least its accurate to CPTSD, because most children who had repeated sexual abuse or exposure to sex would cope by masturbation and/or sex. It’s more of a thriller webtoon (with a hint of romance but you might not get around to that episode) the characters all have unique personality and the plot actually makes sense (unlike some other webtoons, AHEM THIS ONE) anyways I strongly recommend you read that one mostly because you haven’t done many thrillers yet and I think it would be a good place to start :)

Her reasoning is Ryou is better so she wants Yuri to get with him. Keep in mind they barely know each other. And then it’s just a lot of characters being stupid and being assholes. Inoue was becoming one of the most popular characters because he explicitly asks for what Yuri was most comfortable with and what her boundaries are, but he squandered it by grabbed risa against her consent and saying it’s okay cause he’s hot. Ryou was also well liked but then that changed when he started stalking Yuri (though he was more or so dragged along so some may be able to reason he’s still not bad). Risa is now a puritan asshole to everyone. Yuri… well I guess she gets better. She hasn’t shoved porn into any uncomfortable, nonconsenting person in several chapters! Really, what it does good is it’s ideas, but it executes them poorly. Things like trauma and how that can effect your mentality as you grow up, Navigating relationships when you are not interested in romance, and that not everyone will want the same things. While I think Uruarts is incompetent, I still like the story to some degree and would like to see this story retold by literally anyone else. I think the biggest issue is how the trauma thing and the relationships without romance thing conflicts in a way that one of the themes has to die for the other to work. If she ends the story the same and gets what she wants then there will be people who are upset that her trauma is never resolved and that it implies aroace people only exist because of trauma. If they go with the healing from trauma route then that also implies aroace people exist because of trauma and also get rid of the representation that some fans like. People are INCREDIBLY spilt on this part so the story is doomed at the rate it is going. The best part of this WEBTOON is probably the comments. Most people in there are willing to have a discussion about what they think about a chapter and argues in a respectful way. I would recommend not checking out the WEBTOON though cause it doesn’t have anything that’s worth reading it for.

This could actually be a pretty good concept for a comic if it was done correctly. Probably shouldn’t be on WEBTOON tho. But the main concept is something that’s fairly common in people. People who went through sexual trauma or even a situation like this MC where they simply never learned what a healthy relationship looks like often display hyper sexual behavior. Could be a story with some heavy stuff and good character development where the MC learns more about their actual wants, and boundaries, and how to be in a healthy relationship. But we get this instead.
