The hole in his cheek leaked food/drink and got infected, so he instead pierced the inside of his cheek to clip the LED to, and not have it affect his singing.

Rammsteins genre is called Neue Deutsche Härte (NDH) which roughly translates to new German roughness, I guess. Another band that plays this genre e.g. is Oomph!. Also applause for this great reaction ^^

The genre of Rammstein? There are a couple of answers. When it came up, it was called "Neue deutsche Härte" (new German routhness/hardness). The mixture of metal and synth is called "industrial (metal)", which matches to their outfit. When they were asked (some times ago), they answered, that it is "Tanzmetall" (dance metal). And yes, Rammstein is a class of it's own.

I remember this performance. This was back in 2010/2011 when they were doing their LIFAD tour. The stage was a little bit smaller for that show, but not nearly as small as it was on Kimmel. This was after they did the Madison Square Garden performance so Kimmel technically didn't bring them to the US and they'd toured the country before that with the Family Values Tour in 1999 and later with Mutter. Unfortunately 9/11 happened right in the middle and they cancelled the rest of the tour. MSG was the first time they'd been back in almost a decade.

In Wacken Rammstein had a guest, German "Schlager" singer, Heino, on stage. Till Lindemann said he does want to be responsible for burning the "old man" and had him packed in a cooled anti-fire suit on stage. Pretty professional if you ask me. 😉😇

If you're on a Metal run, you should include Bloodywood: Indian Folk Metal, Gaaddar or Machi Bhasad are great songs, and also the vocals are interesting.

@@wildwine6400 since when was 1440p50 poor quality? Yes it is a amateur recording and should be judged as that and not professional recording. It can't be used as first reaction since I guess Rammstein is pretty much know to all. I linked it because it is a better recording than most amateur recording from that concert. It is impossible to make a good amateur recording fra an Rammstein concert. The sound level is immense for a handheld recorder.

@@kingofshit303 of course it's worth it. As a member of LIFAD I enjoy every minute off this perfect amateur recording. Last professional recording of Rammstein concert was recorded 11 December 2010 and released 25 September 2015. I don't count Paris as a concert recording. Just think of all the different stages and live productions you miss by just following the professional original official recordings. So every amateur recording is highly welcome. 1440p50 is not lesser quality. BluRay is 1080p and that is the best quality Rammstein has released any concert recordings.

@@HanMoP not the issue. The lack of angles and real sound quality makes it pointless. He has barely heard half a dozen Rammstein songs, itd be a shame for the first time to hear many songs to be some poor fan cam. All the songs on that tour have much better first time viewing options available

Basically mixing Kraftwerk with Punk the electronic metal scene in dusseldorf/germany started what was called industrial (early bands were "Die Krupps" and "KMFDM") . That 's the breeding ground for Rammstein, soon the name "Neue Deutsche Härte" (New German Toughness) was given to all of those bands that came from the same background like "Oomph" and ""Eisbrecher" and was then applied for all the 2nd and 3rd gen bands that tried to emulate the Rammstein Sound.
