So as a welder I have had my eyes flash burned. It was one of the most frightening experience of my life. Sitting there wondering if I'm going to be able to open my eyes ever again while it feels like hot sand being rubbed in my eyes, constantly, for hours. Only thing more terrifying was a shard of metal in my eye. They held my eye open and while I watched they took a dremel and tapped on my eye to get the rust and metal out. Felt like something out of a horror movie. Wear safety glasses people

I also had a piece of hot metal embedded in my eye from a grinder. The doctors applied some chemical to my eye, I believe to make it easier to see the metal, and then took the piece out with a sharp steel pick, similar to what a dentist uses.

Here's a fun one for you. The anger on that set between the actors and actresses got so intense that when the Twister ride was made for Universal Orlando, they refused to be on the same screen together or filmed at the same time. This led to those amazing look-to-side-of-screen moments and some of the most manly poses ever done by Bill Paxton himself.

This happens to skiers and other winter outdoor sports types who get their eyes damaged by UV rays reflecting off bright white snow. They call it snow blindness, but it can happen under other circumstances too, even on overcast days. Just shows how UV protection is a good idea even when it’s cold or cloudy.

As an American with a Manx boyfriend, I know how Karl's girlfriend feels. My boyfriend and I had a whole discussion about the "lollipop man" after watching the UK version of the IT Crowd. My response that triggered the conversation: "Poor guy, just trying to sell his lollipops." Apparently that was 100% wrong. My boyfriend explained that the lollipop man doesn't sell anything and I was convinced he was messing with me because what the hell else would he do. You have the taco man that sells tacos, the slushy man that sells slushies, and the lollipop man that most definitely sells lollipops. His reply: "He helps kids cross the road." I was like "You mean a crossing guard?" and that just proved that it isn't just 'lifts' and 'flats'. The 20 minute conversation I had with his family and what the heck a 'hob' is will be in my brain forever. I'm a humble New Englander and me living so close to Boston has opened the door for people to say we have some funny words for things but even I am at a lost at times. Just goes to show that there is a messy blurry line between dialect and completely different language.

Tiddlywinks is a game where you flick caps on eachothers caps. Spotted dick is a pudding with raisins. Ferret leggings (can't remember the name I know but guessing the same) is when people challenged eachother to keep the most ferrets in their pants for the longest. The rest I haven't heard but that doesnt mean they dont exist. The age old tradition of hitting eachother with fish for competition is also banned in alot of small towns. All I can think of but theres many more. Can you guess where I was born? 😂😂😂
