My husband passed away 10 years ago and the night before he passed we went to Karaoke and he never sang before. He put me in a chair in front of him and he across from me. He sang "Let it be Me" and I will by the Beatles..........I cry every time I hear these 2 songs..thank you from my heart for posting this

Then I scrolled down to read some of the comments and read your comment that they are both gone now. Felt sad and blue over the news but reminds us all how short life is and how precious memories are. You Tube has made available much of this musical Gold of the past, thankful for that.

A huge influence on the Beatles. Paul McCartney mentions the Everly Brothers in his Wings song, "Let 'Em In": "Sister Suzie, brother John, Martin Luther, Phil and Don." The Everly Brothers had a song called "Keep A Knockin,'" about NOT letting someone in...surely "Let Em In" was inspired by that song.
