It is not uncommon for an otherwise undefeated team to lose to the worst team. Spurs got to like the smell of themselves after a short streak. They let up rather than stepping up and were unable to recover and regain the initiative in the fight. This can be an incredible lesson and motivation. Next match will tell. Champions HATE losing far more than they love winning. I still believe!!! COYS!

💯 agree I think it was complacency you can blame Ange a bit maybe but the players really dropped it in the second half . Other teams in the top 4 show their mentality keep their foot down on their throats or if it’s a drop off it isn’t off a cliff like Spurs did in the second half . They’ll learn and be better for it . @@abhishek.soni_2001 rubbish. Players like Timo Werner are not going to win us anything. He needs five 1 on 1s with a goal keeper to score. Conte wasn't sitting midtable. Conte with a worst players had 57.8% win in his first 45 games. Postecoglou has 51.1% wins in his first 45 games. Postecoglou spent hundreds of millions and we look no better than 10 months ago. But he didn't throw players under the bus. So that's make it OK. 🤦Next game Romero will mark the air again instead of the only strike in the box. We conceded 3 goals and he waited 15 minutes after 3rd goal to make a substitute. But he didn't blame a players so everything is fine. He doesn't give up. What a relief. Now we gonna win at home couple games against shit teams and Ange will great again. Until we have to play half decent team

Yea I get that vibe from him as well. Been annoying me for a while. He thinks he's wiser and better than he is, hence he plays well for a while, and then goes missing, and that's why he can't get a place in the England team. There was one moment in the second half where i think vdv had the ball and there was one brighton player between vdv and himself, and tons of space in midfield if he just took a couple of steps to the side, but he just stood right in line with the Brighton player as if he didn't want the ball.

I think the main problem is that the most of our players lack ambition. I don't want to be too harsh, cause I think we do have a good squad with talented and young players, but they need leadership and I can't see that. That's why it needs at least two experienced players with the right attitude/mentality, who already played on a higher level and have won trophies to change the non-chalant midset of our toothless and pampered players. Udogie is not a starter and the club should consider a 30 year old Mendy, who is currently playing for Lorient and works on his comeback. Especially because of his price. Once signed by Pep for 56 million he is at the moment "only" rated 1.5 million according to the Transfermarket. Beside his experience in the PL, CL and the french national team he is still one of the best LBs. Focused, strong and has a winning mentality, something that is highly needed for our lads. I would also love to see Goretska who lost his regular spot at Bayern under Kompany, who would also be a great addition to the squad and who is in my opinion better than Bentancur. At least he is more consistant and better and by far stronger defensively, physically and mentally!

No need to complicate the explanations or demand removing the manager. It is easy to understand. You cannot maintain the stamina for such intensive play as occured in the first half. Brighton played excellent in the 2nd half and changed how they was playing and we had no answer for it. That combination with our own complacency compounded the issue. So 3 - 3 but Ange is right when he says we didn't deserve to win.. Brighton did for coming from 2 down to win..

I realise Ange has been successful with previous clubs, however, what Ange may be overlooking due to lack of experience at this level, is playing in the Premiership is a big step up from other leagues and there is a huge physical demand on the players. I would have played a more defensive game in the second half where Brighton, would have no option but to get the ball into our half, which potentially would have opened up gaps. Our defence compared to last weekend was a complete contrast. If Ange is going to insist on playing a “high press style” of football, making substitutions at the hour mark, might be better tactically, that will give some of our starting line-up players, more recovery time and bringing on players that are fresher. I get the feeling that Ange’s style of pla,y might be a little overwhelming for some of our players and might be one of the causes of our second half collapse. I do not believe for a minute that any of our players on the pitch are not 100% committed, as Ange would observe that during their training sessions. I believe it is more of a stamina issue than a fitness concern. We are also playing in Europe this season, which puts more demands on our players, including recovery time. We have also played three away games in the last seven days, including a trip to Europe. Man Utd and Brighton are tough fixtures and are always in the top half of the Premier league table. Therefore, it would not surprise me, that some of our players are feeling tired, despite their best intentions.

The other side of this weakness he has is that when he does rotate the team, they are rusty. Take Radu for instance. What's he going to be like in a high pressure situation? He has barely played this year and I ear that his next game will lead to another big mistake. I also worry about players like Spence and the fact that Udogie was stinking it up, getting tired, and Ange still doesn't yank him off. This whole situation is what leads to the "Spursy" tag that we can never shake.

Totally agree. I had feeling this was a loss. Spurs always lose to Brighton, West Ham, Villa and Wolves. Besides the top teams like City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. He failed to change the momentum at half time and sub on a defender to shut up shop to grind a result. This is due to the way he wants to play, stubborn to adapt and play counter or parking the bus etc. Players were overconfident coming out but then got tired, Udogie was terrible in defense. Needed to change tactics to help the players but he failed to respond. It was too late by then. I can see what he is trying to do, to stay on course but this will only get you so far, Tottenham is not Real Madrid, Bayern, Man City or PSG.

Ange. Just admit that it is Son who is to blame, because if he had played we would have won. If you had to talk more, just say that Son is the only player who is commited to winning every game and that’s why spursyness sticks out whenever he is not in the pitch. My last statement is, Ange. You are not committed to winning every game either. Learn from Son, or get sacked.

Its simple, brighton came out with a new substitute, suggesting that they have changes their tactics or formation.. surely when it gets to 2-2, you should then realise and like other managers, make your own changes.. ange didn't, and so spurs continued to get run over and it went 3-2 then it still took over 10 minutes before he made any subs

Its his fault for making Romero captain. Need some tougher defensive players. Poro is a good attacker but a liability defending. Spence is English and understands the toughness needed in England. The flashy things are a bonus. Romero isnt captain material and today definatly proved that. Think even Kulu would be a much more mature hard working leader. Maddison is a good option as well. I woukd even have Vicario as captain ahead of romero. Sarr or Bissouma should be ahead of Romero

Ange is throwing the players under the bus again. Players lack intensities and competitiveness, he said. So why not sub earlier? No, timing of substitution is irrelevant, he said. What does that even mean? The bench players would have no intensity and competitiveness as well? Did he say something upset the whole squad during the half time speech? I sensed that he's preparing to ship out Cuti - of course after he shipped out Kane, then Hojbjerg, then mooted to ship out Son (quickly shut down by Levy).

That would also get us champions league. Actually keep playing our top centre mid bissouma in europa . So you knew they would come out all guns blazing .So instead of setting up to null the onslaught and frustrate them you just kept the same tactics. We were two up for god sake. You cant keep up that press for the whole game . Keep them at bay and get everyone behind the ball the best you can then counter as they run out of steam.. Saying thats not us is BS. In every game even an under dog has a spell of belief and its difficult to match them so you stand fast and ride out the storm . The best teams can sense when its time to bolster the defense and counter when they tire. . . Terrible tactics. Fair play to Brighton.

He’s not happy and rightly so. We collapsed all over the pitch collectively together. They just stopped. Romero needs to stop ball watching, he did several times end of first half and got lucky. A supposedly top defender cannot and must not ball watch!!! Udogie lost his few duals, Maddison concerns me, he looks a big time Charlie at times and not physically strong enough for this level. Clearly talented on the ball but believes the hype…and that celebration and his reaction suggests complacency to me! I do think Ange should have made subs sooner but also agree it probably wouldn’t have changed much, the whole team stopped competing and seemed to expect the next spurs player to win the duel. And they didn’t. Hope he gives them the riot act. Never ever believe you’ve won and a really good team like Brighton were aka ways going to come back strong, could see that towards the end of second half where they should have pulled one back way way. Romero sort yourself out! This ball watching is an alarming trait and he won’t last if he’s doesn’t sort that out.
