Tom speaks for a lot of people who feel like they have no voice and no one who cares. That sort of empathy and respect for other people's feelings is rare and so needed in today's hostile social climate. His underlying message is unity, to put aside our petty differences and come together to move in a positive direction. Great insight to the message he is trying to get across.

If you dont believe in god and how powerful toms music is let me share my personal story... The day this song dropped i believe almost at midnight i was a bottle deep with a full i bullshit you not gram of ketamine in me and high as fuck on acid sorry church crowd i am who i am and i cuss alot its been a hard life ... and i was on the shitter realy upset about where i was in life and this notification dinged and i watched this video and while i was a cold dead piece of ahit with only a care for my self i didnt want to be that way i had had a daughter with my wife both were asleep my daughter was sick and had a fever and i just felt like the lowest piece of garbage waste of oxygen and i wanted to die i was hoping to and i listen to this song while i contemplated it .... and it broke me in so many ways decided then the old me wasnt gonna exist anymore i started working out again in the middle of the night for the first time in years i saw and felt my purpose i left for work at 4 am and continued that for 3 years straight 16 hour days i put toms work ethic on a pedestal as the bar and tryed to make sure i was always working like he was .... fhat not even the good shit 100 k a year at 24 was awesome but heres what god realy saved through this song .... 2 days afyter i decided to quite being a shit bag i got done early only a.few appointments and instead of going to get fucked up at a friends i told you my daughter was sick well she was also fighting taking ibuprofen for her fever we were i pulled in to the parking lot and my wife was coming out to the car with her she was on fire and as we were putting her in the car she had a feverile seizure my wife paniclked and froze but i just insticively with no prior training started clearing her airway and doing cpr feverile swizures are just sorta lile the person looses brain function and goes dead limp and stops breathing she turned blue but i kept her together long enough for the swizure to stop and the ambulance to get there..... I either a would have killed myself or b been off getting drunk with a buddy while my wife screamed and cryed in our apartment parking lot while.my daughter died .... if you read all this thBk you for taking the time and i encourage you to lool back at the realy big events in your life and see how the man upstairs realy foes have your back when you need it most... my family is my castle and im gere till im gone and dead i may faulter but ill always be here protecting it

Tom talks about all of us having the same emotions and problems. To me it's a little strange hearing your talk about that christians/followers of Jesus should be compassionate. This has nothing to do with a certain religion, this is about us being humans, who are in this life on earth together and who should care about each other. I feel you on this, I have done a lot wrong in my past and in my present. Honestly, we have all messed up and done wrong in the eyes of God. The amazing thing is that God loves you and I so much that He sent His Son Jesus to pay the price for our mistakes. So it's no longer on us to be "good enough" but rather for us to trust in Jesus. You asked, how can I get saved. The bible says that you are saved by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. If you can, say this prayer right now, not to an empty room but pray it to Jesus. "Jesus, I know I am sinful and I've messed up but I also know that you love me unconditionally. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I believe you are the Son of God, that you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I will do my best to follow you, today I am yours. Amen." I love Tom Macdonald This man does lot for us veterans. He hates the fact we go to warand fight our asses off come back and we are a fkg mess. Ptsd, night terrors, nightmares, your bff buddies have both died in my arms in camp victory in Bhagdad, iraq. Some days i have wanted that .38 to take off my head, but ptl, i am still here! I love jesus but most days i feel unworthy as hell. Pls forgive me Father God! Lord.
