@@Miadolph He'd clearly had a complete mental breakdown, and in all honestly, probably not competent to even stand trial. Usually in cases like this, the person gets locked up in a psychiatric hospital, rather than a prison. Florida has a reputation/history of executing the 'mentally challenged', so at a guess, I'd think that they didn't want the additional hassle/embarrassment of doing the same thing again.

So true
@jessicalynn62853 жыл бұрын
I do believe that officer felt horrible about describing that scene and talking about the victims, especially the 4 year old. BUT. I watched that part over and over. When he choked up. Does anyone think he may have added that for the cameras without feeling that heavy of emotion at the time he was reading that? I watched his eyes. He started off reading from the paper, then looking up to the audience, like you do when speaking to a crowd or a speech. He continued doing this right after the "emotion" he was feeling and looked the same as when he started. When people get so emotional that it halts their words, they stop speaking, I've notice most of them can't immediately go back to having the same normal eye contact with the audience again. There are no micro expressions of grief or pain on his face during that moment. It looks like half of his mouth moves upwards, which usually means contempt. There is no movement in his eyebrows, especially in between, drawing together. There is no micro inflammation that comes into the eyes that happens when feeling emotion before there are even tears. His chest doesn't hitch or appear that he is holding his breath from the emotion he would be feeling. Plus, when feeling an emotion like that, it isn't fleeting. Words that could have triggered those emotions, such as reading about the 4 year old, the brain processes the information, the emotion is felt but it carries on even if speaking past the point of what triggered it. This officer goes right back into normal speech. At no point does any stress come into his speech at all. Emotions that stop someone's speech limit involve breathing and their vocal cords. I KNOW he believes it to be awful, horrible. I'm just saying, I've been watching body language analysts on KZbin. I believe this man knows it will be a huge case and threw that in there. He observed that when people get emotional like that, the most noticable thing is they stop speaking and seem to struggle to speak again. Logan and his channel Observe has taught me so much. Watch Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey video. Logan explains that John shows emotion and then seconds later it is gone. He points an area when Patsy get emotional and she keeps feeling that pain. Sure the officer doesn't feel the same pain he would if he were related to the victims, but he is portraying an emotion he isn't feeling at the time.
@Kerbedis13 жыл бұрын
@@jessicalynn6285 I agree, he seemed to fake those emotions. But why did you have to write an essay about it tho?

@voteZDLR3 жыл бұрын
@@Kerbedis1 I do not think it's a good thing to analyze people's reactions in the face of tragedy or grief as if we know how THEY felt at the time. Sure they can become desensitized after seeing horrific things over and over, but a case like this I imagine is quite rare. That an entire family would be decimated by the patriarch, including their children. This is my take on it -- the cop has kids, too. It's not just the murder of one child. It's the murder of all of them including the mother by their own father. Assuming he is a father himself it's VERY believable to me that he would have an emotional reaction to it, but whether or not it seems legitimate to us or not really isn't fair for us to decide as people process grief in different ways.

Ian Brady and Myra Hindley (the infamous ‘Moors Murderers’), for instance, were both noted animal lovers, as were serial killers Dennis Nilsen and John Wayne Gacy, murderous mob boss James ‘Whitey’ Bulger, _Reichsmarschall_ Hermann Göring, and, famously, even Adolf Hitler himself. Then he hooked me at the end when he said, "Please, if you can do anything for me..." and I'm expecting him to say the usual "hit the like button" or "my pay pal is in the description", but instead he says, "take care of yourself". I think this guy actually cares.
@ashleysoandso861 Жыл бұрын
My first time watching him I was at a very low mental/emotional point from watching my dad die as I was holding his hand. The next year my husband packed up all his clothing as fast as he could when I left to go grocery shopping. I was a stay at home mom the last 9 years of our 15 year marriage and he walked away without having a conversation with me and without saying a word to our 3 children. He left us with nothing and threatened my life for asking him to pay child support to help our kids. When I gave him the heads up I actually filed he showed up and threatened to kill me. When we had court it was over zoom and he was there at my house threatening me and I had to get the person to bring his payments down to $600 a month instead of the $1,700 or he would’ve killed me. I had to lie and say he was paying my car insurance, cell phone, daughters phone, and my car payment. The following tax season he claimed our kids and kept all of the money from the child tax credit payments, as well as every single stimulus payment including mine. He did that the last 3 years. So he pays child support, has them 4 days per month and then claims them on his taxes.

That poor family. The police officer addressing the press got me. He was about to lose it and I can’t handle a grown man crying. This is just horrifying. I don’t get it. Why not just take yourself out. It’s obvious he snapped completely but how and why?!? So awful.
@gtw45463 жыл бұрын
I thought he might have snapped but then I considered how he had clients rescheduled, told the FBI he'd be back in early December, told his employees that he'd be back in late December, and realized that it must have been planned. Maybe he snapped AFTER he carried out the murders, but the murders themselves sound premeditated to me.
@mariapalladino24733 жыл бұрын
@@gtw4546 I love how he says he can’t remember but he seems to recall an awful lot. Also, he was gone most of the time so he’s saying his wife wasn’t capable. @pulaski13 жыл бұрын
Why? He and his family were living far beyond their means, and he didn't have the guts to call time on their extravagant lifestyle. I am sure that a physiotherapist who owns his own practice employing other physiotherpaists can make a very good living, but perhaps not what is needed to fund a family home in Celebration, FL, frequent flights to/from Florida, and a non-working wife. Curiously Chris Watts had had the same issue in Charlotte, NC, having declared bankruptcy a few years before relocating to Colorado, after he and his wife had had a large monthly mortgage payment that was beyond what they could afford on his here-and-there job/ career path.
@jeremycurtisisgay3 жыл бұрын
I always want to know the why, too? Wonder if the wife was up to some bad things herself. A lot of times women will spend all the money trying to portray a richer lifestyle and she may have cheated on him and threatened to keep the kids away too. Maybe he was thinking she spent all my money, cheated on me and is going to take the children away and I'm left with nothing because of her. He decided to kill everyone. You see in this case the “dumbass” is completely warranted because people like that making stupid statements about something they know nothing about only facilitates other people’s ignorance and at the same time drives a false narrative about what law enforcement is willing to do! Stupid people pontificating about topics they know nothing about is a huge problem with our society so try not to get too bent out of shape!

The insanity of society is everyone is just a order of events away from this or self destruction. I had this epiphany when I learned of the interview some girl that visited Adolf Hitler had described how nice and funny and charming he was and there was even some video footage of her arriving and speaking to him. I couldnt believe someone who orchestrated such unimaginable destruction and hatred could be completely and utterly normal in his personality. Humanity's potentiality is our most frightening aspect.
@jamiethomas51843 жыл бұрын
Exactly it's so disturbing how many ppl are out there posing as "normal". It's so scary I've seen it before. We freaked out like my handyman was a pedophile. It Was Crazy.
@Simkiim3 жыл бұрын
The thing is that there are ppl that do not so ok stuff but ppl around them make excuses and act like it is normal behaviour. The more powerful or elite they are, the more is tolerated. Like I know a guy with full basement of guns, he takes photos of his kids with those guns and he has a bit of an angry issues. But because he was a manager, everyone took it like a cool hobby and photos with the kids cute. We do not live in a country where having a gun is normal. I can imagine that if person like him did something, everyone would act surprised and be like "omg but he was so normal"
