y’all realize that people will act a VARIETY of ways after trauma, right? like obviously this woman in particular was guilty, but y’all NEED to stop using the behavior of someone immediately after a traumatic event to determine whether they’re guilty or not. people will react in a VARIETY of ways to trauma and it’s not our place to determine the “appropriate” reaction. i was making jokes within fifteen minutes of learning that my aunt died in a house fire, does that mean i killed her? no. i was traumatized and coping in the only way my brain knew how. y’all are not psychologists, stop analyzing people like you know how they’re “supposed” to act.
@Clayinator20003 жыл бұрын
@@sh4rkb4it I think laughing at the death of your significant other is far different from the death of your aunt. And honestly, I think its very disrespectful to be laughing at your aunt's death 15 minutes after her death.
@sh4rkb4it3 жыл бұрын
@@Clayinator2000 good thing you aren’t me and you aren’t in my family, then! because my aunt would have wanted us to laugh and make light rather than moping around and wallowing in sadness forever. and like i said, you and i AVERAGE PEOPLE are not who should be determining what is an “appropriate” response to trauma. being in shock, which is a real life hormone response that temporarily alters your brain function, can make people do and say out of the ordinary things. it doesn’t make them guilty.

When she said 'I read my Bible' I instantly thought she did it. My grandmother reads Bible all the time, goes to church almost daily etc, but in reality she's the worst human being (talking about you behind your back, backstabbing you, and one time she even tried to pit me against my own mother), so I don't trust people who use Bible as an argument that they are good people.

My ex mother in law is the same. She’s a Christian and goes to church regularly, but also regularly backstabs and bad mouths everyone. There was also one time when her grand daughter had a cat, but she didn’t want to have a pet so she tied the cat in a sack and threw the poor thing somewhere without opening the sack. There are lot more stories of her being a piece of shit, but I’m going to stop right here.

I've cared for elderly people. You'd be surprised what physical feats they can accomplish. I'm not saying she did it, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did, either. If she did have an accomplice, there are very few people a person would keep their trap shut for. A child is one of the very very few that a mother would be able to stay silent to protect.

I totally agree. I used to visit a relative in a nursing home, there was a tiny frail old lady that used to be curled up with arthritis on a chair. One day she was in a foul mood and lashed out if anyone got near. Unfortunately someone did go near and Unbelievably she suddenly launched a nearby table through the air at the unsuspecting victim! If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I never would have believed it. They can possess incredible strength!

My mom was the gentlest person you could ever meet until a few years of having Parkinson's/Dementia. She stopped being able to walk and was extremely frail from not being able to swallow or get adequate nutrients. One day she apparently got up and put her arm over the nurses counter and knocked the computers to the floor. In her room she was somehow able to pull every single piece of clothing as well as the closet rod to tue floor several times and start packing. She was so tiny and noone could figure out where the strength came from. By her head was a box worh a bell for the nurse. Mom was always ably to pull it from the wall. The elderly can surprise you with the strength they do have even when they do look so fragile.

As someone who has struggled with opioid addiction for several years, I can tell you first hand how addiction can change someone. That's not an excuse for your actions, but it definitely can cause a person to do something that they would otherwise NEVER do if not for their addiction, especially if doing so involves getting a fix. Those pills are no joke. You can't play with that shit. It will absolutely ruin your life.

I completely agree with you. Opioid addiction is on a whole different level from any other addiction. I can say that, because I have been addicted to a number of different substances. @@nhmooytis7058 Either you have zero knowledge of opioids, or you're a troll. These substances, and many others, *completely* change the individual's brain chemistry, disrupting homeostasis, and quickly cause the user to become mentally, and physically reliant upon their drug of choice. Once you've become truly addicted to any of these powerful narcotics, you'll do damn near *anything* to end the misery that is opioid withdrawal.
