In my life, yes, I'm older, I have noticed how for many years now it became normal for a large portion of the population to overrule a personal gut feeling of discomfort with some kind of justification of how ridiculous our feelings and thinking were. Experience over many, many years now has taught me to now always trust my gut and to never discount that feeling or the value of my own thoughts.

@@AdminAbuse idk.... I'd agree it's a possibility, but he doesn't seem like the type to do things JUST for "business" reasons. He barely mentions subscribing or signing up for notifications, etc., so I've always had the feeling that the I love you statement at the end is more about affirmation, an effort to sort of just let everyone listening that they are worthy and important. Obviously Mike doesn't "love" his viewers the way he loves his family or friends, but it's not unreasonable to think he loves his viewers in the same way we're meant to love each other, see each other as brothers and sisters, etc. Corny maybe, sure, lol. But given the very heavy and often dark subject matter of his videos, I've always assumed he declares his love at the end to just throw it out there that "Hey, if you're struggling in any way don't give in or give up, remember you matter and there are people that care about you, specifically, I care about you." I can definitely be wrong and I think there are plenty of people who would just say they love their viewers in order to keep and increase viewers, but yeah idk I've always felt like it was more of a "brother's keeper" type of love because of the sad things covered in his videos. I might be naive lol. But idk, I know I personally feel a sense of love for people in general, I like to think I'd take a bullet for anyone, etc. so I don't find it hard to believe Mike is saying it in that way rather than it just being a strategy. Just my thought!

No , there is not always a reason. You might be completely mis-reading the situation. However, if you are easily spooked, you live longer, on average. At some point in our past, those of us who ran from every perceived threat passed on more genes more frequently than those who did not have that response. That’s what a “gut feeling” is. That said, evaluating a reason to be wary is a pretty good idea, also.

The way the main lady (Dorothy Maraglino) manipulated the servant (Jessica) and others shows signs of this would not have been the only person (Brittany Killgore) they would have killed. Dorothy shows signs of a serial killer, her profile would be interesting to research. Also, Louis Perez the other mastermind also controlled people for his own gain is interesting such as the letter he wrote proves the manipulator he truly is. This is an extremely bizarre case. I guess another thing is, if one ever gets a text from a friend that says something weird like, "Help", you should probably call until you actually speak to them, not take texts from them thereafter at face value (could be "the killer"!), and call 911 if you're not *completely* sure everything is alright. Granted the police may not help but they may also take it seriously too. Might be able to save them.

So Louis, in court, is just going to deny the fact that they have video of him beating that woman (before Britney) into unconsciousness, and her asking him to stop? Criminals all want to deny it seems, and the final, last-ditch effort is to say “police planted evidence” or “police are framing me because of a bigger plot,” or some shit. Girl pleaseeeee Then, when he said like “…to those who know me, they will know; I’ve never raised my fist at another soul.” Not WOMAN, but another SOUL. That’s avoidance of the subject at hand, to me at least, and slightly telling… not saying he’s the lone perpetrator at all, just saying. He couldn’t bring himself to say he’s never hit a woman, because the proof was in the home video. And I hope the jury and court got to see that video, unfortunately…

While true in this case, I think it's important to remember that police do plant evidence sometimes. I feel so sorry for Cory Killgore and Brittany's family. It's heartbreaking that none of them got to say good-bye. She was killed over someone wanting their "fantasies" to be real. I agree with what u said except that MANY fantasies are totally fine to bring to reality and they harm nobody ... For example and pardon my bluntness but let's say my husband and I both have a fantasy of role playing doctor and patient or w/e ... if we both consent then I don't see any harm in that If someone's fantasy is to dress up as a horse and be spanked by a member of the same sex as long as all parties consent again I see no harm ... Some fantasies are a lil more riskè like bdsm for example... or the "slave" & "master" relationship... ill get banned if I go into an example with THAT haha but ultimately again as long as everyone is in agreement to the acts being done to them then there's no harm being done I think what you meant to say was that fantasies that some may have which involve hurting someone else holding someone else against their will or not respecting them if they say "stop" are not meant to ever come to fruition... I mean no disrespect however realistically not every fantasy is meant to be just played out in our minds 🤷‍♀️

@@bigredswife4646 Well the only thing I really can disagree with you on is that you used the word "roleplay". You are "acting" out your fantasy and I am only assuming here but I'm going to say that he probably isn't your actual doctor and it's not taking place on a hospital bed somewhere. Remember that actual (well not really) doctor for a female gymnast team that had them "consent" for a "medical procedure" ? I think that's what he meant. I don't think anyone was trying to kink shame, just pointing out that most of us know where that appropriate line between acting out a fantasy and the reality of it is. It's not the consenting bdsm between a married couple that got them on this channel.

Both of them. Especially your second. Humans have 2, if we're defining brains as big ol' masses of neurons. The second is located in your abdomen. 17:53 Mike didn't disclose this fact but I will. She was tracked and traced through McDonald's CCTV over 8 states and 32 different locations in 15 days.

Very happy with the way you handled this, so many people use bdsm as a guise to just be abusive and it adds to the mountain of stigma against bdsm. These people were abusers and eventually murderers.

BDSM is literally a way to act out fantasies of abusing people. There's something wrong with you people.

I love the new “sexy time” music Mike - also, I was a D&D kid in the “satanic panic” days and the scumbags who misrepresented D&D are like these abusive, sadistic losers w/Louis pretending that he’s a legit dom etc…”oooo, such a bad boy Master Louis!” The world of bdsm is filled with incredibly ethical people who are very committed to the fundamental rules - as in CONSENT. I hate these creeps for warping bdsm to fit their *criminal* inclinations. FO Louis and Dorothy you pos (the Wicked Witch missed you when she had the chance)

"Follow your gut" such powerful and true advise, if Brittany had she may still be alive. RIP Brittany. God bless her husband Corey, may he find peace and strength through it all.

I'm in the kink community, but I kinda left the main scene because it is FULL of men like this. Fake doms who think BDSM means "I can hurt women, ignore boundaries and be a predator and get away with it". It's astounding to me that all three of these wretched people were in on this.

it's not surprising at all though that it would attract this sort of "extreme," with men and women abusing each other. What other banner would these pieces of shit flock to? I assume it's better to find a reasonably-normal person that isn't a sex creep and then 'explore' this sort of stuff after a healthy relationship exists.

I'm not into the kink community, being a boring bi guy, but I have a healthy understanding of it. Always sad when some sick people abuse the scene and reinforce harmful stereotypes. Imagine claiming to be part of an experience that is all about consensual self exploration and open expression while at the same time taking advantage of someone with clear mental illness as a literal slave. Smdh.

Cool story. I hadn’t heard this one yet. It’s pretty wild and tragic for sure. And I love how you mock the victims for falling in love at such a young age like kids do and how of course they should have known better. Because teenagers in love make such wise decisions all the time. Same with the random jokes throughout about such a brutal crime. And you even took the time to promote a murderers book. What can I say, I’m impressed.

Mike, you are a true treasure! Not many could pull off what you do. Respectful to victims, but can also bring a bit of lightness to these heavy stories, but without going overboard. Kinda an unexpected career path to let that part shine, but you manage to pull it off and stick out of the crowd. You’re my “comfort food” of KZbin, if that’s a thing. Appreciate you always!
