For this in depth video I was invited to Zen Racing to drive one of their coolest projects to date. This is a brand new Ford Raptor sporting the Ecoboost twin turbo engine that now makes 510HP and 700 ft pounds of torque thanks to the research the team has done at Zen Racing. This Ford Raptor with the 10 speed is no joke, with the turbos spooling and never falling out of boost. Compared to the V8 Ford Raptor it's a completely different experience, and is one I had to share. It feels like taking the Taurus SHO with an even more powerful engine, and turning it into a mean workhorse of a truck. The 2019 Ford Edge ST could have really learned from this thing to make it way more intense. Thanks for watching!

I've had my 2019 for less than 5000 miles. Flew to Houston to pick it up custom ordered from Jorge Lopez at Tomball Ford and then road tripped through the mountains back to Seattle. I've been offroading in the Texas oil fields, Moab Utah, Northern Nevada, Colorado, and Washington State so far and haven't even had my first oil change. The truck already has a few pinstripes and some pretty beat up skid plates. I bought this thing to play with and that's exactly what I'm doing!! I got the blue interior accent package and man is it luxury inside. Super comfy on long hauls on the highway and in sport mode it attacks the twisty mountain roads way more than a 5700 pound truck has any right to.

I test drove a regular EcoBoost F-150 with the 10-speed, and I was surprised by how smooth it was. I'm planning on getting one and using it as a tow vehicle because of the insane torque numbers.

While I agree it does sound like a 350z, it’s muffled and sounds broken. There’s no doubt that it’s a great engine, but sound is a huge part of the driving experience. My car personally, a Mini Cooper N/A i4, is by no means fast but it’s got a mean purr inside the cabin. It adds so much to driving down back roads when I’m not cranking up the volume on the stereo.

You want hear of anyone running a gen 2 Raptor down that owns one. These trucks are beyond awesome. They fly around like a sports car and there lite on the feet, they haul ass, they have paddle shift, very comfortable and there a blast to drive. Kinda of vehicle that gets you excited when you have to go somewhere. The factory suspension is incredible. It’s funny when I see people run a vehicle down. Plus they hold there value because most people keep them. These are lifetime vehicle. Just a really cool fun driver. Oh and there way underpriced for what you get and nothing compares to it. Ford got this right.

Life long GM fan. Had a 2017 6.2 Silverado UNTIL I drove the Raptor! Brand new Raptor now in the garage. Trust me V8 fans, sound doesn’t matter when you drive these bad boys. I also just finished a trip through the mountains in TN and WV with the Raptor and was it ever fun on the twisty mountain roads. With all the fine tuning done by Ford performance everything works together seamlessly where as my Silverado leveled with 35’s on it, never felt as planted to the ground as the Raptor. Worth it if you can afford it, but don’t pay over MSRP.

And you would be wrong. I swapped out my factory muffler for a Gibson unit for $100 & it sounds great & opened it up quite a bit. My Roush cai combined with that Gibson muffler made a noticeable difference in sound & power.

I just got a 2020 3.5, how he was shift through gears and giggling, i did the samething, ive wanted a raptor for so long and im not disappointed, i did a QTP exhaust dump for an aggressive sound underneath, but can switch it over if i choose. Gotta say i cant go anywhere without someone pulling up wanting to test that twin turbo v6 😅. I did a Cobb tune as well recommend its a game changer to maximize that HP and torque

@Cringes Exhaust and cool air won't get your any HP without a tune. All the HP comes from the tune. Of course you tune, then will can say goodbye to the warranty unless you have a very nice dealer.
