This is a rare moment where I agree that, though mentioned in the video and featuring as a thing you know you have to do before you get to the place where it happens, a little more discretion would be good. While I've seen the scene, through watching someone else play, I think that going in blind definitely increases the eventual impact and horror of the scenario. And perhaps self moderating this comment through an edit-maybe just a *spoilers below*-would help to not rob others of that impact. On the actual subject of the scene in question, tho: yes, hard agree. It's possibly the grimmest moment in the entire game and something that is impossible for me to forget in the unique context of it's execution (pun definitely intended).

I think that, what we're seeing here in the intro and the vo throughout the video, wasn't a cynical product of multiple takes and faux reactions to possible outcomes. It seems more likely that the most or all of the recorded narration happened after TGA, and was very competently edited and shipped. The game that was on the schedule for today was probably selected with the event in mind, and script ideas may have been considered before the event, but I don't think there exists an entire other version on the cutting room floor bemoaning that it didn't win things.

2:30 honest answer? when the industry acknowledged that gaming is for so many people a shelter from loneliness, and that a HUGE share of the market is... people who simply can't play in local co-op with other people, either due to time constraints or the lack of friends and family to play with in the first place. i still appreciate the care and love and boldness it takes two showed, it was something that the industry needed, but lets not forget why we are where we are now.

i love that a co-op game that really understands and takes advantage of the unique aspects of co-op gaming is getting so much praise. like for example as much as i love Halo and playing Halo co-op, the co-op in Halo is really just adding in a second guy. it doesn't increase mechanics. really the warthog is about the only thing that is designed around multiple people. games like this, and Portal 2, or Overcooked are just excellent examples of games where you really need to communicate and work together to succeed. Portal 2 and Overcooked only did that mechanically, It Takes Two does it narratively as well. i admire games that gives co-op the respect it deserves and try to make an experience that only works with other people. i personally really value games that do that, and i am glad It Takes Two has done that and is getting widespread acclaim for it as well.

Jirard: Stopped playing with their partner Frosk: Stopped playing with their partner TBH: I didn't really care about that part. Is the game itself a bit of a meta-narrative that it's okay that your partner isn't a gamer? And I don't mean anything about the story, just the game itself. As soon as I watched others play this, I was immediately convinced this was not the game for us to play together, even though that's kind of the idea of it. I know my partner isn't going to magically understand 3D platforming skills, that's insane.

What I actually like about Dr. Hakim and his methods is that the way he makes them fall in love again is turning them back to their true selves. The reasons they had fallen out of love is cause neither of them were who they used to be anymore and had lost all passion in their lives in general, not just for each other. And reigniting those passions they had for other things, made them fall in love with each other again as well. I actually find that to be quite reasonable.
