Beth is an incredible storyteller. Her version of this song is the best of the covers simply because you can feel her anguish and pain in her vocals and the choices she makes with her inflections.. She sang that from her soul. The other covers were just sang to sing them. You can have all the talent in the world vocally, but not every talented singer can make you feel the lyrics

Joe was a child protege’. He grew up and hour and a half from me. He performed for the British royal family at the age of twelve. He’s played with all of the blues greats that have been around. In my opinion, Joe is the closest guitar player to Stevie Ray Vaughn there is. Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn were two of his biggest influences. This collaboration between Joe and Beth was a God send. They’re magic together. FYI, Beth suffers from bipolar disorder and it has had a profound impact on her both positive and negative. As with most people that suffer from bipolar disorder, Beth’s emotions are on a roller coaster. She has been put on medication to help stabilize her emotional peaks and valley’s. You can see that manic part of her personality in her eyes when she sings. She has learned to harness it and use it in her performances.

Hey!! I know you reacted to this a while back, I just stumbled on it. I gotta tell ya something though, I guess I don't express myslef enough when watching music (per my gal), but you my good man, physically and verbally portrayed, better than any other reactor I've seen, the exact way I feel when I see Beth n Joe tear it up. Cherry on top, Joes solos move you as much as Beth's singing, many overlook just how good Joe is, he friggin' opened for BB King when he was 15!! ✌️❤️️
