Thanks Charlie! Erik is quite something and has an amazing back story. Erik won Swedish Idol in 2009, released a single and and album, joined the Swedish band, H.E.A.T, had leukemia (beat that) and became lead singer for Skid Row. He quit Skid Row this year to focus on his health. He is now releasing stuff on his KZbin channel. Now, I am in two cults (just kidding) - Dan Vasc and Erik Gronwall. Dan and Erik did a collab on Dan's channel: "Breaking The Silence."

When Dolly allowed Whitney to cover this, Whitney put this song on a grand level. Many have tried and not come close. Erik comes and stands right next to Whitney. His control is out of this world. The ease of floating lines seemlessly into another at the high end is jaw dropping.

Erik and Dan did a collab, "Breaking the Silence" (H.E.A.T. cover) which is fabulous. Erik has also done a collab with Tommy Johansson, "Carollus Rex" (Sabaton cover) that is awesome. Can you imagine what history would be made if Erik, Dan and Tommy got together? Not sure my oldish heart could take it. 😂

OMG what a spectacular treat to listen to!! I'm so thrilled to watch our next generations find their footing in the wondrous world of music. I almost dare say I feel as if we are seeing/hearing a return to the days when artists actually had talent and didn't rely on equipment for vocals or even instruments, I guess. The time when I was able to experience all that and real bands with truly out of this world concerts. (Queen, Phil Collins, U2, Bowie, Sting, Disturbed, Godsmacked). I Will Always Love You was released in 1992 as a cover by Whitney Houston as a part of the Bodyguard movie soundtrack and remains the top selling single of all time by a female artist and also remains the top selling single of all time written by a female songwriter, that would be Dolly Parton, who also had TWO number one country hits with it before Whitney's cover and charted it a third time as a duet with Vince Gill in 1995. Not bad for a song Dolly wrote as a farewell to her music mentor when she wanted to go out on her own as a solo artist in 1973.

Erik is a phenom. He breathed new life in to Skid Row. Gutted he had to leave them however health comes first. His youtuve channel has loads of incredible covers of GNR, Bon Jovi ans Journey to name a few. However id recommend his cover of Roxette Listen to your heart. Its amazing

Erik preformed 18 n life at the Idol audition back in 2009 by Skid Row. 12 years later he was asked to front Skidrow, what a dream! To join the band he hold high as favorite band. As someone told he fight against cancer and beat it. But last 2 years traveling and touring with Skid row gives him no time to recover he said on hes own channel few month ago.
