Aussie here & I've witnessed your journey first up literally with "Something is wrong with my baby" & I've been hooked on your channel since. The now unlimited pop-up's of other reactors now doing the same thing is an incredible chain reaction us Aussie's are now very proud of. Unfortunately, many ignorant Australian's (usually the older generation) all thought Jimmy Barnes was just screaming. I can hear my father growing up yelling that exact thing every time he heard his voice, it was "turn that $%^&UU noise off". The majority however are very passionate about Aussie music as you can tell. But I must say watching your channel & now others has made me appreciate so much more about all our artists & how special they can sing, like never before. We're all pretty spoilt with incredible talent, particularly live here that we all admittedly have taken for granted. When you've always heard it you just assume it's the same for every singer & they're must be a thousand more singers just like them. It's only now (in my 40's) that I now truly understand through these channels that's simply not true. So, I think most of Australia would be personally grateful for you to showcase them now for all that they were & what they continue to do. I only wish John Farnham had an online presence or social media & could see all this for himself. He'd have no idea what's been going on on You-Tube with all these reactors. He seriously thinks the world has moved on. He was utterly shocked of the outpouring of well wishes from Australian's following his cancer diagnosis. He thinks people have forgotten about him in his retirement. That just will never be the case. I just wish more of his work & everyone else's was better captured live. There isn't much available that documented the last 50 odd years of their musical history. Thankfully in this digital age that will be a thing of the past at least.

You have the most exquisite appreciation of music I’ve ever encountered (apart from mine of course LOL). As an Australian, I had many friends who insisted that Jimmy simply screamed. Yes Jimmy screamed. But he always did it on note and in key. Or even in harmony with Don when needed.

I was never a much of a Cold Chisel fan growing up (in Australia)…some of their stuff, but generally they weren’t high on my list of favourite bands. I admit I was in the “he screams” camp, but I have grown to really appreciate his talent. Maturity sees the talent for what it truly is, and like a wine that improves with age, Jimmy too just seems to get better and better. I’ve also come to appreciate all the Barnes family performers, their talent, humour and generosity. Lovely people. Great music. I’ve enjoyed seeing a new level of appreciation develop from your reactions for great Australian talent. Thanks for highlighting and showcasing what some of us took for granted.

I have been listening to jimmy since flame trees came out and have loved his music ever since. Never gave a shit what people thought of his voice just loved what he sang about mostly about Australian content which makes you proud to be Australian. He’s music has followed me all my life and he seems to nail it every time. Since following your channel have grown to appreciate his voice a lot more than I would ever imagined. Of all his songs I loved the live version of the last frontier makes my chest puff out and be a very proud Australian. It has been a privilege and an honour to have grown up and followed his music for nearly 40 years. If you ever get the chance he did a tell all of his life which he helped me speak up about my depression and get help, so to me he’s more than a singer thanks jimmy. Been listening to Jimmy since his early Cold Chisel days. Funny story my older brother told me, his band was on the support bill for Cold Chisel in Perth around 1979. Jimmy told my brother who was the vocalist for a band called Belexes that he was a "wee little screamer". My brother could sing as he had a few years of opera training but he preferred to sing hard rock, like so many artists out there who were talented he never made it. Barnesy is one of the best voices to come out of Australia, there are others but not many had his success over such a long time.

@@JoSedunary Yes Alan Kearns, he sadly passed away 4-4-2019 from cancer. He had a musical hiatus of about 15-20 odd years and started gigging again in the early 2000's. He played a gig 2 weeks before getting really sick in March 2019. We all miss him greatly.Didnt know about those other bands but he lived in Perth for 2 or 3 years before coming home to Melbourne in 1979. I am 10 years younger so I was too young to see him play in the 70's.

@@sofiamiliaressis5403 He told me a lot of stories about those pretty wild days, he kept a lot of the gig posters as well. Some of his bands were support act to a lot of top flight bands in the late 70's and early 80's AC/DC was another as well. Must have been amazing to see those big name bands in their infancy and share those experiences with them. Cheers
