Hey mister under_vilman how does this compare to klipsch 300 W subwoofer?
@thetigergamer46445 жыл бұрын
Could you try the PB-1000, Might be unnecessary since you've got the PB-3000. But if you could make a deal out with SVS or buy it yourself, I and probably a lot of other people would appericate it. Never really seen any good reviews of it and it's one of the craziest 10 inch home theater subs out there. in my room which is about 1400 - 1500 ish cubic feet, I get it to do about 117 dB at 32 Hz, and 109 at 24 Hz. I'd say that's impressive for a 10 inch which isn't even that expensive. Anyways thanks for the quality videos! And also do you prefer sealed or ported subs? I know sealed is apparently tighter, fast and more accurate, had a sealed 8 a year ago. It was exactly how people describe sealed sub but really tight subs, like 6,5 inch subs and below doesn't sound that pleasing to me. I'd rather use ported for both movies and music, let's say the PB-100 since i was asking about it and got it myself, It's not inaccurate, slow or anything. I find "loose" bass or soft bass more pleasing that listening to extremely tight sounding subs. Also it's tuned to like 22 Hz it's extremely flat and it produces 40 Hz and below better than the SB-1000 or SB-2000 would do. People complain about it sounding "boxy" but i don't notice it at all. I've tried the PB-1000 sealed, it got the same difference as when you did the PB-3000 sealed vs ported. My problem with it being sealed is that you lose a little bit of that magic the port is doing, The low lows almost disappear completely. Also if you're doing a 2.1 with a ported sub, the towers/bookshelves will add the "tightness" you lose with nothing running it sealed or having a sealed subwoofer.

@@ThaVillaMan for living room spaces that open on one side to the kitchen (in the 2500-3000 cubic ft. range) - would you consider these to be medium sized rooms? Does the open nature of the room matter in sub size selection to the point where you would pick a bigger sub even when only one half of the room is being used when watching movies? I have an old 325w PB12-NSD from 2008 and was wondering if switching to the more compact SB3000 and moving the sub from beside the couch to the front soundstage instead would be an upgrade or downgrade in bass performance in your opinion?

@@courtneymiller5000 My room is the same size. Did you try the SB3000? Was it enough?

@@fluffyman15 Yeah I think that may be the best woofers for my room, I hope when I seal the ports I'll get the punch of the Sb's

I’d haft to hear one play before I buy that one I’m saving up for one that has 2 18s. I like bass

Is this so good that you would replace your own sub what ever that is?
@ThaVillaMan5 жыл бұрын
If I didn’t already have an SB4000 I would either get 2 of the SB3000s or even the PB3000 if space wasn’t an issue

Can you feel this sub in your chest?

Awesome review. I never heard anyone say svs buttom out and I applaud you for that, a subwoofer is meant to be played loud. I moved from dual SVS PB16 to Rythmiks FV25HP, dual ofcourse.

I agree.

the sub should be protected from bottoming out. that’s strange,
@ThaVillaMan5 жыл бұрын
Meaning I pushed it to the edge of its excursion.
@rushgush5 жыл бұрын
i know what it is, but the protection in the dsp should stop it from bottoming out to protect the driver, when audioholics tested the svs subs. they never bottomed out,

@@rushgush I bottomed out my SB3000 playing the cut Bass I Love You. Heard a metallic sound and backed it off immediately.
