Haha it's definitely a player style thing. If you pit two neutral focused players against each other you'll get a very cautious but tense battle where both players are refusing to commit and fishing for safe hitconfirms. These matches CAN be fun to watch but also tend to become drawn out projectile battles (if theyre GOOD players, the match will suddenly blow up when one player GETS that confirmed hit and the pace suddenly changes). KingGambler is probably my favorite players to watch in this category, tho I will be honest its funner when hes vs an aggressive offensive player because you can better appreciate just how good his patience/neutral really is. Then you have players like FullAuto whos gameplan typically revolves around demonic online mix tactics where they do shit thats incredibly risky and either works or gets them blown up. Yeah I know fullauto is a sindel player but I 100% prefer to watch his sindel over most other f4u3 sindels because at least he actually uses scream cancel mixes and will then randomly do bullshit j3 hair flip and itll work. Sorry for the rant, but yeah in this case you have Hayatei, who is literally known for his movement with Fujin, vs me the most crackheaded yolo off-meta Fujin. Makes for a pretty action packed set. Set wouldve looked very different if it was mkstarend vs sinisterruler both running windpush.

Imo the best variation for competition is: sky wakka + airsenal, then needle or push depending on the mu. For just damage Downburst is king (370 midscreen for 1 bar, 440 for 2 bars) but its hard af and loses A LOT of important utility (like sky wakka). There's a reason barely anyone actually uses Downburst.

Sort of depends on the character you use. If you have low/overhead mix, then mix them. Otherwise throw them until they stop blocking.

Tbc this wasnt a tournament. But to answer your question, most of the FGC stuff happens/promotes on Twitter, and typically gets streamed on Twitch. Brackets are usually run on smash.gg or challonge. But I'd start with just following the right people on Twitter. If there's enough interest in the subject I might make a video/post about it. The MK communities feel really separated across platforms (KZbin, Reddit, Twitter etc.) There are really big names in the comp scene that the casual KZbin watcher has probably never heard of. And a lot of big names on KZbin have zero rep/cred in the comp scene.

I dont personally care because I expect there to be some toxicity when playing online. That said its about the intention imo. 1. Brutalities arent usually toxic. Depending on the requirements it could be an intentional flex, or an accident. 2. Fatalities have to be done intentionally and wastes everyones time a litte, but for example early in a KL season a lot of ppl fatality to meet the spill blood requirement faster. 3. Bagging. I usually dont assume toxicity until I see bags. Bagging into fatality (or fatal blow) is usually ppls way of showing toxicity. But it's something you become desensitized to when you play the game enough. It is also possible to friendly bags. If I get blown up for doing something dumb, or my opponent hits me with a sick combo/conversion ill bag mid set as a way of saying "holy shit wtf i see you." Might not make sense to strangers but whatever. 4. Being toxic on mic. Tbc theres complaining on mic, or releasing frustration, like exclaiming "omg this game is trash" or even "wow youre trash, stop jumping" and even thats not toxic persay. thats just ppl playing a game and getting mad. Actualy toxicity over mic like personal attacks or excessive language imo is uncalled for. We're all ppl playing the same game, and theres rly no reason to be toxic to someone over a game.

I never covered it myself since I feel there are already a lot of videos out there that do a good job explaining it (I think rooflemonger has a good one). But the input is as follow: FF block F I recommend focusing on getting just one dash cancel/wave dash down first. The idea is you can block MID DASH ANIMATION to cancel the slower part of the dash, and pressing forward again ONLY ONCE will cause your character to immediately restart a new dash. So seriously just focus on ff block f. Its incredibly obvious when you dk it right. Then you just keep doing block f block f (thats the harder part to get down consistently) Remember if youre doing it right your button log should look clean. You DO NOT need to input ff block ff. Only f once after.

None! I'm terrible at retaining muscle memory for multiple characters (trust me I've tried). I also ascribe to the belief that every minute spent learning another character is time that couldve been spent on your main. I started learning MK11 with subzero as he was very beginner friendly (iceball allows newbies time to remember their combos). I switched to Kotal after the first KL season. Then when Fujin dropped I just knew I had to play him. Havent switched since.

In my opinion that's what he tried to do and it didnt come out. F3 is weird sometimes because it has so many active/cancel frames, but its possible if you dial in f3 r2+l2 TOO FAST like before f3 even connects, the game wont take the input. It's definitely happened to me before.
