I honestly enjoy seeing the "new" Star Wars fall flat on it's face. Everytime companies take a huge dump on established franchises and their respective characters by reinventing them in the worst possible way (Ghostbusters, TMNT, Transformers, Star Wars, Star Trek), I draw my fulfillment from the huge backlash they get from the old school fans. If companies keep pushing their political agendas down our throats instead of staying true to what once made these franchises great, they will keep on loosing money and that is a good thing.

Ironically Disney marketed the new star wars at a new generation of fans; they completely discounted the fan base that made Star Wars so valuable. What they missed in all their infinite wisdom is that the old toys made more than the movies did, and the generation that they marketed this movie to are more into digital content than action figures. It sucks that as a fan I am told, "this movie isn't for you, so get over yourself"... that's okay. If the movie isn't for me, then I will keep my money. Their Battlefront 2 failed, there are mobile games, but who cares, and Iger has no balls to properly go into video games market, because it's too unpredictable for his liking. Older fans who collect stuff and kids would want toys, but their new toys are of bland looking and poorly written characters, so screw that. When George was in charge, toys were earning the most and new games kept being developed in various genres. Now only films make a buck, but even that can't go on forever, especially if they do crap like TLJ.

Not only they suck as characters, but their looks is boring and uninspired. Even freaking Jar Jar, one of the biggest fools, has a unique design. What do new films have? Asian girl in a jumpsuit? I teach English in Japan, and what I see from the students as far as the pencil cases. The new movies aren't what those few students are into. It is usually classic OT stuff. As far as the movies. Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith both set records in Japan. TFA lost out to Yokai Watch. TLJ, well I saw it. At an MX4D theater, but still with all the effects I struggle to remember anything about the movie.
