Sure man. I get lost let's say in the middle of a game on Twilight gap. Where do I go next? How do I set up an engagement when it seems like chaos? How do I avoid an easy death? Etc? I play mostly sixes and I have moments where I can predict but it blurs into a nightmare pretty quick.

I see these kind of comments all the time every time a animation transition is used. Those kind of transitions are really easy and quick to do and aren't really that impressive. They definitely make the video look good but are not hard at all to do, literally just take the same frame from an animation from 2 different points of your footage and change the footage on the next frame of the animation. I did this once with a reload animation and it's easy to do.

You did a great job on this video. A lot of similar vids talk about game sense in a general way of using your “experience” to help you win fights/matches. The examples you give with the radar cues etc are so much better. During the second review where you mentioned that a better team would have punished the reckless play, it would be interesting to know WHAT the better opponents would have done to counter, even though the actual opponents lost the engagement. This could potentially be really helpful. Just an idea. Keep up the great work
@PattycakesGaming3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! the main thing I think better players would have done is use their movement to create distance so they wouldn't be in shotgun range when they saw a titan flying at them. It's much harder to shotgun an experienced player because they can often see it coming

(I'm editing this comment multiple times) I've been subconsciously learning the spawns without even knowing it and I've been making plays according to where people spawn. I tend to stay by my teammates in Survival if I know they all spawned at the same area in the map and I can't fight 3 people alone unless I get 1 or 2 sniper picks. Edit: I also tend to record my gameplay so I can watch it back and review what I did right and wrong and what I should continue to practice. I'd say I'm improving very fast and that's because I have tremendous motivation to improve.

I enjoyed the inclusion of a clip from a lesser experienced player, an experienced one and a great player. I also enjoyed the analytic points of the lesser- and experienced player, however I felt like I was longing for some explanation for the great player, and why his "move" was the correct one, specifically for the dawnblade kill. From what you explained during the video is that in most cases, popping a super is a really strong move, and hard to defend against. Subalicious counter-move, was solely relying on his ability to shoot, as far as I could understand, and I think it would be nice to include this point, and perhaps mentioning that, if you feel less confident in your sniping ability, a different, good, move in this scenario would've been X or Y. (Especially if your main focus is tactics, and not aim) Great video, would love a part 2 :)

As someone who frequently plays chess and destiny this is making me think of destiny in such a different way. In destiny I’m fairly defensive of a player, fairly reserved. But in chess if you play like that you’ll end up constantly having to defend Pericles and material instead of gaining, unless you set up some sort of trap. But it’s almost always best to attack in a safe but also constant way always having your opponent on the back foot without risking a piece to do it

I think what holds me back the most in PvP is the fact that I am quite brainless. I don't know the thought process involved in surviving and winning a Crucible match and even how to start it, or what it is for that matter. And even when I try and think to myself every move to execute during a match, it never lasts long until I switch to "brainless mode" per se. I don't know how to use my head, simply put. Which is most likely why I find myself almost constant outskilled, but now overwhelmingly so for 1 month or so. Not sure if I ELO went up or what, but I went from winning almost half of my matches to losing 80 to 90% of them, even when I do well and and on top of my team's board.

should you do make a second Game Sense video, I ask this question: *"out of all the information you (and others) mentioned, the radar, the firing angles, the kill feed, the audio cues, and so on... which of these can you afford to not actively stay appraised on and not get overwhelmed?"* I can easily claim that the kill feed doesn't matter as much if you can hear a super or sword, for example. I mean... the "where should I even start" segment is probably the most important bit of advice for someone like me, because after you listed all the information to keep track of as well as note the difference between a longer term strategy and shorter term tactic... frankly, all the stuff to remember to be aware of is flat out overwhelming... and... well, I've made an effort to study competitive fighting games to understand what the hell the big people are talking about. my main issue is just that, getting overwhelmed by having to keep track of everything ON TOP of trying to be a competent shot in the moment(I don't think aim trainers like Kovaaks would be something I'd personally get invested in).
@PattycakesGaming3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion!
@phoenix50293 жыл бұрын
@@PattycakesGaming Thanks. I figure I aught to mention that when you described "Game Sense" as being vital to improvement, but not something that's easy to describe completely, it reminded me of the discussion of the Neutral Game in fighters. As I'm sure you know, understanding Neutral is vital to success... but if you asked people (or sought out videos here on KZbin) to describe it in detail, no two answers are the same. Thankfully, there is enough overlap that, oftentimes, firsthand experience and some discussion with other players fills in the gaps on someone's personal understanding. Might make an interesting interview topic down the road...

Okay so I'm a console player and there's something that's really been nagging me playing with a controller. What's Bungies reason for having limited sensitivity settings? Like my sensitivity in other games is much higher, and I feel like I get outgunned by people who play in air because I can't move up fast enough to challenge. And I also don't like the fact I have to use traction to increase my sensitivity. 1. I have to use a mod slot to fit it in and 2. I can't change my ads move speed which messes me up in gun fights. If anyone has any sort of official statement from Bungie I'd love to read it because I couldn't find anything

Usually when I play pvp I try to stick with my teammates for numbers advantage. Tho I usually get put on teams using either auto rifles or pulse rifles. Which is bad since most of the enemy teams I fight almost always use felwinters or 120 hand cannons. So we usually get pubstomped anyway. I'd use a shotgun myself but I'm not that good with them. Same with most hand cannons. Don't know why but in crucible I have a hard time getting headshots with hand cannons, Except for last word, igneous at times and crimson. Oh and can't forget malfeasance. most other hand cannons feel like a slapping machine. not good with snipers either. Best guns I'm good with would be auto's, scouts, and pulses. Shame I can't use what I want tho in crucible anymore. If I wanna do good I have to use a hand cannon or a shotgun and I hate that, that's the case
