I live in Northern Australia and farmers and cattlemen here deal with Dingoes, but not on the scale that the northern plains ranchers are having to deal with the Wolves issues. The old question pops up again, why are animal lovers who live in cities with their pet cats and dogs get to decide what is best for ranchers and folks working out of sight under tough circumstances to bring them prime beef, and now must deal with a whole new problem, wolves.

Because environmentalists really don't base issues off logic, it's all emotional. Also, cities get to dictate state policy via a larger voting block. Sucks actually. Well done video! This explains so much that most people have zero idea about. The majority of the population has no idea where their food comes from, nor the life these ranchers and farmers live. It sure isn't for the faint of heart, rather it's in their blood. I know, because I grew up on a farm many decades ago, but these ranchers are on a whole other level. I grew up in WI they re introduced wolves back in the eco system residents had worried of attacks and the old wolves are more scared of you bull shit came out. Let me tell you of 2 instances that I read about on WI hunting forums but first the dnr only writes up a report of an attack on a human only if it actually puts teeth into you but the two stories are scary and true as I've read about them. Story one was a guy scouting a new area to him for bow deer season he had a small pistol on him either a 380 or ,9mm the caliber I can't recall but a pack surrounded him and came in at him he was able to walk towards his vehicle but it was some ways away from him he wounded one or two enough to get to his vehicle 2 nr story was rifle deer season opener a man and young son the father sat his son down and walked a short distance away but son called him back because wolves came in at him the father shot at the ground to scare them away but they only backed off and again they left and reported it but dnr wouldn't put out as a attack because it would contradict what they told residents and give factual written proof wolves not only attack people but decimate a deer herd. Instead of allowing longer deer rifle seasons to keep population low and deer waste disease low this was the bs answer from the state. There was a REASON OUR ANCESTORS KILLED THE WOLVES OFF.

* In the first story, the guy was carrying a 9mm while scouting for a place on public land to put up his deer stand. He looked up and noticed a wolf off to his right, and two or three to his left. The one on the right attacked him from a close distance. The guy kicked at the wolf diverting its head and giving him enough time to pull his gun. He shot that wolf, but it still ran away. The next day, he and the DNR returned but could not find the wounded wolf. The guy made the statement that he needed a bigger gun. A 9mm should be effective against a wolf, but an expanding bullet is what is really needed. I suspect this guy was shooting full metal jacketed bullets.

Wolves are starting to show up in Nebraska now. The game and parks refuses to admit they are here. Our mountain lion numbers are also starting to grow rapidly. I live in the northeast corner of the state. I know we have a breeding pair here yet the game and parks say we don't. I have seen the trail cam pictures of a female with her cubs the last 2 years. The farmer I work for caught a cat on cam walking across his driveway late this past fall. When I confronted a parks person about it and showed him the picture he just said, oh that's just a cat traveling thru. Yet in that area it has been seen for 2 months now. Did you hear about the cat that was hit on the road near the twin cities in MN that came from western Nebraska. Trinity I love the info you are putting out there. Keep up the great work. There is so much more info I could tell you about how pathetic our game and parks is here in Nebraska it's not even funny.

2 years ago I was able to spend most the fall hunting. My hunting is northern wisconsin. I saw 7 wolves across the county I hunt. We were run and gun rattling for bucks during the run. By the second weekend one of us had a bow and the other an AR for defense. We switched off one on the rifle rattling and the other staked out with the bow. We saw more wolf tracks than coyote. We saw more wolf tracks than deer. I went into those same areas this year and saw little to no deer tracks and fresh wolf and coyote tracks everywhere. Few hunters. In fact that's why I hit the public areas, no one is hunting them, not like they used to. Hunting licenses are down cause people don't see deer and feel it a waste of time after years without deer. I see wolves in my neighborhood year round. All over my community there are wolves spotted, pets missing, less deer, less hunters, less commerce, less money. Same issue in my state, the uneducated aristocrats in capital city deciding what's best for rural areas they know nothing about.

I’ve read in an article someplace, in the last month, that some of the wolves sold to Colorado were out of a problem pack. These were wolves sold out of Idaho. I don’t know if it was a reliable source. But now you have two wolves already hunting livestock. Over time they all will, those cattle are much easier to hunt than deer or elk. In our area the cows are often jokingly referred to as slow elk. Across the board when you look at it, farmers and ranchers are under a full attack. Wolves are just another weapon being used. The foot soldiers of the globalist and elitist so to speak.

Tho ye already have wolves in Colorado and they shouldn’t reintroduce anymore. Colorado has way too many elk and that needs to be dealt with through a natural predator. However Colorado FWS handled the situation with releases horribly and I know that this is gonna cause problems. I just pray for the best of the ranchers and wolves. Wolves are not dangerous to humans but will kill coyotes and keep that population in check. Not for nothing did coyotes spread unchecked across the US after wolves were hunted to near extinction. It irks me to hear people complaining about wolves because they kill too many animals we now can’t hunt anymore. Give me a break. So much fabricated outrage because it affects their hobby or pocket books. More environmental and animal rights activists in government than hunters making policy!

Thanks for the interview Trinity. The question of hunting wolves has been tried in Wisconsin. The state legislature at the request of the people has mandated an annual hunting season. They are still listed as endangered by the federal government, so we have had wolf hunts on the years that things were worked out in court to favor our citizens. The Department of Natural Reources in Wisconsin has not been able to manage wolf population effectively because of the legal battle, so it is estimated that 25% to 35% are harvested illegally.

Your government is following the dictates of the UN sustainable development goals agenda. Look even in CT for a county or city "comprehensive plan". Localities are adopting this "framework" and then amending it every year or 2 fine tuning the goals. Essentially, the goals include driving humans out of rural areas, re-wilding those areas and pushing people into densely populated zones. Meat is considered dangerous to the environment. Also many already have a mandate to acquire / annex more and more land especially by acquiring private property that has flooded or burned. What do you suppose the incentive will be to prevent forest fires or floods when the government may benefit from them? National politics doesn't matter nearly as much as state or local politics. Start by reading your own areacomprehensive plan - every word. The titles always sound benign but reading beyond them should be enlightening. To get an idea of how the comprehensive plans came about I suggest going directly to the UN website and read the 17 sustainable development goals in detail. Again they sound benign by their titles (end poverty, ensure human dignity) but in detail these goals involve assigning identification (and then requiring it) for every person. As for ending poverty - that one involves surveying, cataloging and otherwise inventorying ever resource from land to water to animals and then controlling if or how they are used. What could possibly go wrong, right?

I live in central Idaho. When the wolves were introduced the elk, deer and moose had never dealt with packs of predators. A pack will run the elk into a valley and kill them all. I have seen the aftermath and it is gruesome. They don't eat the animals just practice and train the young. When you see 200 or more dead animals killed by a pack it makes you want to kill every wolf in the state. You will never convince us that this is a good idea. Many of the elk and deer moved into neighborhoods and never leave. A few get taken by hunters but not slaughtered. Good luck Colorado. You can buy several wolf tags but they are difficult to hunt. Say goodbuy to your moose!

It seems like idiocy but follow the $ or at least dig into your local govt comprehensive plan. More and more counties and cities are adopting them (through state legislation). These are being introduced even in traditionally independent minded / conservative states/counties. At first they all sound benign but dig a little and you'll see how insidious they are. People tend to act / vote on emotion but if they only read the fine print and think logically how something that seems well-meaning could be devastating we might have a chance. Of course all of this was first tried in CA and we see how well that's going.

@@Reed411Where do you think the nutrition and meat come from that people eat in the fancy restaurants…oh by these ranchers you are making fun of…. These two ranchers are highly intelligent. They could make it in the wild. Carnivore diet is rich in nutrients and is healing people, another reason to reintroduce wolves and take out the cows and game. They want our country sick and on the manufactured foods and drugs. My uncle is a rancher and is way more intelligent than what you are saying. If you don’t like these videos or are not concerned about the nonsense going on now in CO, maybe don’t watch it. I grew up in CO and quite frankly have seen what outsiders, mainly CA people have done to destroy our state and drive out the natives. This is just one more way to drive out native ranchers. True natives were our native Americans and a lot of nonsense has happened to them as well. When will people stop and decide to work with one another than against each other. God made us all, we had no choice in his creation, yet so many delight in destroying so much of his creation, with our words, reintroducing animals that actually hurt our environment, overbuilding and so much more. With all the outdoor activities people in Colorado and those that come to Colorado to enjoy, why endanger people with this reintroduction of wolves? The Game and Wildlife departments were hushed as they would mess up these people’s agendas. Also going around a federal process, shame on them.

They did the same thing in N.E. WA state. Then Inslee added the problem grizzly bears to the equation from Glacier and Yellowstone. 2015 I know that F/G planted 6 grizz in the Selkirk area; one of which ended up down in the Lost Creek Drainage causing problems (again). We had a sufficient number of grizz in the high country without the added problem bears some of which were preying on the black bears which I witnessed first hand. The wolves on Smackout pass are not one bit afraid of humans, dedicated "range riders" hired by the state are needed to keep them away from livestock. They have taken a significant toll on the ungulate population and of course follow the prey animals and are down low near the homes as the deer and elk have headed into these areas. Keep in mind the avg. income for this county is 30kish. The locals depend on hunting for food not to mention the businesses that hunters from out of the area frequent. I believe there is a much more nefarious reason for planting these apex predators into the area and depleting the game populations. I have to wonder if there is something related here to the F/G allowing the river to be gill netted for so called "pike control". The tribe did this for several yrs. and we were told that the tribe was going to start a fish hatchery and plant west slope cutthroat into the river. This has not occurred but what did was a conversation while goose hunting with a biologist from the tribe. He advised me that the gill nets were only catching the pike. Of course we relayed to him are disbelief that a gill net could discriminate between species of fish. As he argued his point and stressed they were only killing pike we pointed out that we have binos and have been watching them pull large trout and bass as well as other species other than pike out of the nets. So whats really going on here??? The head fed. biologist pushing the wolves to be reintroduced to the park (Yellowstone) decades ago, just a few months back came out and stated his study was flawed and he was sorry; his conclusions were wrong and he didn't think that the wolves would target elk and decimate the herds like they did. So why are those in government positions pushing this agenda and what needs to be done?

@C EDIT: ... How was this illegal? lol what? It was voted in through a constitutionally democratic system and is now the law of the land. Let's face it, you aren't crying because of game populations, you're crying because you lost. The game population will be fine. ID, MT, and WY had their best hunting years on record with the most amount of tags sold over the past decade despite wolves reaching their highest numbers in those states since release. Also, western biologists named this subspecies of grey wolf "Canadian" at the turn due to the grey wolf's eradication in the contiguous US at the turn of the century, but it's historic range was from the Yukon to Southern Rockies.

Back in the early 1970s my family toured Yellowstone. We saw 1000s of beautiful Elk and a few moose in the Park. In the last 10 years, I have visited Yellowstone nearly every year. I haven't seen any moose, and the Elk herds have been decimated. Now, Elk are more difficult to find, unless you know where they hangout. Talking with other tourists... they rarely see an Elk. But the Buffalo are multiplying like flies because they are able to fend off the wolves. The wolf is an apex predator similar to man. It will multiply and eat all the resources in an area and then relocate to another area and repeat the process. Eventually it will prey upon the farmer's livestock and family. Man is different from the wolf because he can farm the land and raise livestock. But the wolf has no concept of planning for the future... Man and wolves can't cohabitate unless man is free to protect himself and him property from the wolves. Wolves are like the criminals or murderers in the cities. Would you invite a criminal/murderer into your neighborhood?

So I live in the area in Eastern Oregon where these introduced wolves came from. I’m familiar with the specific packs they came from and I can say without a doubt that those wolves come from packs with heavy depredations. There have been multiple permits issued on the Five Points pack and the Noregaard pack is in a trophy hunting unit with a lot less tags given out. It’s a large pack that produces 3-6 pups a year.

Enjoy your last few peak prime years of game rich lands. In 20 to 25 years it'll be gone, becoming just a fraction of what it once was.
