For me Lemmings Is game that really stands best the test of time. Timeless. A masterpiece and also a lesson in good game design. Also loved the atomino as there is nothing similar. It is elegant and simple

Wiz n Liz is great, one of my favorite Amiga games. My fave Psygnosis game though has to be Puggsy, love the physics and unusualness in that game.

Just watched an Amiga live streamer called "Morgan just games" complete shadow of the beast 1 & 2 live, Incredible. Beautiful games but insane difficulty. Shadow 3 was best playability wise. I love "Agony" there must be around 50 frames of animation on the owl and none on the enemies though. Nice top ten OSG

What a iconic software house! Who can forget the great boxart too? some of the best at the time imo. Great list m8, a couple on there I missed, yeah Benefactor is a great little game, not surprised to see the mighty Lemmings at the top spot. Loved Psygnosis games. Walker, The Killing Game Show and Nitro always played to death. Me and my mates would play Hired Guns competitively and cobbled together a cardboard cross so we couldn't see each others screens!

Armour Geddon was my all-time favorite 3D sim on the Amiga! It was the smoothest 3D experience I've played on a stock Amiga. Fun just to fly around. But compelling to play too.

Now blood money had a great intro the game for me was meh. Killing gameshow and puggsy were alright but i dont think they are as good as the 10 ive picked ..but as usual its completely subjective

For me KGS and Blood Money would easily push Wiz n Liz and agony out of the top 10. I’d even go as high as 2nd spot for KGS, that game was, hard, fast , brutal and fairly unique for the time.

Always thought that the music of Agony made the whole thing epic...another one that the cracked version always crashed.. I still have to replay the might Turrican 2 as I never realized it had any levels after the shmup stage.

Wiz and Liz was fast! - When "Wiz" has a double meaning, he could give sonic a run for his money, I've never seen an Amiga game run that fast. Lemmings was massive when it came out, I didn't have a copy at the time though I looked at it and thought, nah, not for me but its one of those games you have to try to appreciate it 👍

Even though Agony has its shortcomings, the presentation alone is top shelf. It took shoot em ups in a different direction and it is still fun.

Walker would definitely be up there for me, possibly Bill Tomato Game too, what is it with capturing game play of agony, everyone I see including myself taking it from original hardware gets a weird colour flicker, only seems to happen with that game, I think it’s because it’s just special

ive never noticed that about Agony.... *loading it onto gotek now lol. Walker is good and was in 12th on my list ...its a great game but i find is a little repetitive after you get over the initial "Wow this is great" feeling

if you got ECS/AGA try to set the bit to force NTSC output (don't recall the HW registwr ATM) It fixes some copper timings

I've didn't got the point of "Hired Guns" and don't understand it now... Perihelion - The Prophecy reminds me another game with the similar name "Perihelion". Also it has a very similar color palette and some gfx elements. It's a quest but I haven't been able to complete it (very complex and had no clues what to do... maybe need a manual for it).

Leander is the only game on this list that Psygnosis actually developed but I guess people just really remember that logo (although I personally associate it more with the PlayStation specifically the WipEout series) and it was usually found on decent games. Hired Guns and Lemmings are the only two on the list I ever remember playing on my Amiga 600 (I have a habit of missing out on titles that seem to define a platform) and I never knew what the hell I was doing in Hired Guns but I loved loading it up.

Leander was by Travellers Tales, but Psygnosis was not just a publisher, it was also a development resource. For example, Wiz 'n' Liz was originally made for the Megadrive by Martyn Chudley who was a third-party developer, but when he made it he was in our office programming it every day..The graphics were all done by one of our in-house artists. The Amiga conversion was programmed externally, but I wrote the sound effects synthesizer and created the sounds. So is that a "developed by Psygnosis" game? I also made levels for Hired Guns. There were always contributions from the in-house developers, sometimes small, sometimes large.

When you ask me what are the best Shoothemups on the Amiga Blood Money is surely in the Top5.It has such a hearththrilling difficulty which delivers everytime hilarious moments,especially in the coopmodus and the ingamemusic is also among the best.The other Shoothemups are:Silkworm,Wings of Death,Banshee,,Battle Squadron,Project X slighlty behind,X,Z-Out,Apidya.
