2:00 They will ramble on about how they went through a nasty divorce back in their home countries. How their ex's received half of their savings in the divorce amd how they recieved the house in the divorce settlements. . They retired to Thailand and re married with a Thai girl half their age. But after a few years the age/cultural/language/religion barriers mounted and they divorced again. But not before they foolishly built a new home for her parents, financed a business, bought livestock or farming equipment, etc. They will then ramble on about how much better Thailand used to be, about how much cheaper it used to be, about how much better the currency exchange rates were. Then you politely ask them if you dont like it here why dont you move back? To which they will say they cant afford too! Things have changed too much!! Inflation is through the roof! Health care unaffordable! There is a housing crisis!! Rent has doubled or even tripled since I moved here. We are just stuck here now!! Broken men all of them!!

Hey Mark, our French cousins call 'barflies', 'les piliers du bar' (barpillars). This is an occupation that has never appealed to me to be frank. And I agree wholeheartedly, Thailand is one of the worst places on this orb to 'hide from one's demons'. They'll only get worse. As well, to state the obvious, it's a particularly bad place for drunks to become sober.

I have met so many people in my travels that are just broken I guess it's the best way to put it especially when I was in Cambodia..... I'm at several different guys who used to be living in Thailand but lost everything to a woman or their own demons and Cambodia was the only place that they could go to and I can't even say exist but just barely scrape by day-to-day

Sometimes I think that I am mean and incredibly tight with my money. No. I just don`t give or lend money. And I don`t borrow it either. Get me in a good bar with a nice bunch of girls or preferably ladyboys and I am splashing out on drinks and shots like the two week millionaire. The secret is to find a good bar with a decent crowd (not too big) and be a good regular customer. My favorite bar really look after me and trust me too. They know I am not a mug and respect me for it. At the end of the day though, it`s all just skin deep and about the money. They know this, I know this and they know I know this.

This video hit the mark on several issues. The pattaya pariah made a series of videos that were incredible. He took them down but I hope he puts them back up. One was about coming to thailand and all of his problems must have hid in his suitcase because they all came with him. Another youtuber is currently in thailand and he has livestreamed most of his trip. It's been a disaster. He thought he was meeting a "farm fresh" young lady but she was the exact opposite. He brought his problems (alcohol) and he will be lucky to get to return home. Some of these guys that are part of the "flying club" didn't jump. I think some were pushed or thrown. Deep down he's a good man but he's lonely and finds female attention from bar girls.

Very good Video. But there are also normal people you can meet, who have normal (digital) jobs, might stay in thailand 1-3 months per year until they are retired and who are not depressed. Who take the effort to learn thai, engage with the locals, make friends, want to see things and discover the country. Who enjoy the beauty of the temples, the nature and the people. So I wonder, are the people you describe in the video the ones you meet in "Thailand" or more so the ones you meet in "Pattaya/Patong"? Have a great weekend

There's really not much to tell the problem is again you've got all kinds of guys that are running around here just trying to steal money and I hate to say it but that's one of the major reasons why I would never invest personally in crypto... I do understand that I am probably missing out on a fantastic revenue vessel by not doing that but I just don't trust it I've seen way too much s*** happen.....

Hey Mark, a possible video idea for ya. Now we all know you love your ladyboys, so this may be right up your alley :) I like reading older travel books, history etc, and Ive read a few about old Thailand, when it used to be Siam, when it became Thailand, etc. But never once have I seen even a single mention of a tradition of men in women's clothes or anything like it. Now it may be, that it simple has not been mentioned by those authors, and is an ancient thing, or it may be a much newer thing, that maybe has some interesting social reasons behind it, who knows? And that is the idea. The history/origin of the ladyboy phenomena in Thailand. I would find it interesting, at least. Other historic themes, if you like that angle, might be the origins of thai boxing and how it became such a thing/phenomena, and then there is the royal murder mystery (Ananda Mahidol). Anyway, just an idea, but maybe I am the only one that is interested in these social, cultural and/or historical themes, so use it if you want, and if not, just fo'gettabout it. Cheers!
