I bought an LC because it’s a beautiful car and it can be a growler in Sport+ mode. It is a blast to drive. I am confident it will out perform its competitors in service issues and service costs. I don’t really care about the “prestige” thing.

I honestly believe this is the most underrated and misunderstood car on the market today. It is a luxury grand touring car in everyway - if you compare it to other GT cars, the LC 500 appears to be the best and brings the best value. I am blessed to have one on order and it will arrive in May or June of this year 2022. I was looking at many other sports cars, but looked at the type of driving I wanted to do and a world class GT car was perfect for me and the LC 500 was the best fit for me. I have watched countless reviews on this car and most just don’t get it. But I am okay with that, as then it will not be parked on every corner. Well done Lexus - I love the design of this car and can’t wait to be driving this amazing car.

It all comes down to what you want. I've owned Porsches including a 911 cabriolet. They're fantastic sports cars! When I wanted a fantastic GT, I traded in my 911 for the LC 500 convertible. I got what I wanted. No regrets. The Lexus fit and finish are superior to anything else on the road.

Exactly, nowadays cars are so over hyped while companies like Lexus have far much better design and a proper interior scheme. Just because cars like lamborghinis and ferrari have more recognition people think cars like Lexus aren't comparable while its interior design looks better than most sports cars. An example is her McLaren costing at a $400,000 price tag doesn't even have automated seats that you can control, its manual. The interior doesn't stun me either as much, has a very plain look to it (this is just my opinion). I would take a Lexus LFA over a ferrari or lamborghini any day if I had the choice. No hate, this all is just my opinion. You don't have to agree with it.

I wonder if this is the problem with a lady reviewer as opposed to a dyed in the wool car nut. She is into the brand more than the actual product (note the LV handbag). Super Car Blondie's knowledge of car history is also limited given her relative newness to the genre. Picking a car just because of its badge? Really? We're not talking Ferrari here we are talking Porsche....the company that mass produces 911s, SUVs, family sedans, etc. I would NOT go for the Porsche. The Porsche is a dime a dozen in places like Los Angeles. The Porsche has had the same shape for half a century. Nobody does a double take and says "wow look at the Porsche styling." The Porsche started life as basically a VW Bug. The LC 500 started life as a stunning Concept Car that Lexus actually greenlit for production! The Lexus was designed in California at the Calty Design Research in Newport Beach. Again, the 911 was just an evolution of a volkswaggen affordable means of transportation. The Porsche interior does not compare to this car's interior. The Lexus sounds far better than the Porsche and is one of the last normally aspirated V8s on the planet. So the LC 500 looks better on the outside, has a much more upscale and comfortable interior and sounds much better. It also has a naturally aspirated V8 the Porsche has a turbo six. The Porsche is mass produced compared to the LC 500 Convertible, which is produced at the same factory as the LF. In fact, many of the "Takumi" master craftsmen who built the LFA continue their work on different areas of the LC, including carbon fibre parts, leatherwork and paint. In 2020 Porsche sold, in the U.S. alone, 8,840 911. By comparison, while the U.S. is Lexus LC 500's biggest market, Lexus sold just 1,324 LC 500 and zero convertibles. In other words, for every one LC500 there were nearly 7 911 sold in 2020 in the U.S. and even more 911 globally than LC 500! Globally the numbers are even worse. While the vast majority of all LC 500 were sold in the U.S., not so with the Porsche as they sold 34,328 911 globally in 2020! Globally, Porsche sold around 15 or so 911 for every one LC 500! Talk about rare! So the Porsche is more common, has a lower quality interior, a less exciting exterior, sounds better.....oh and let's not forgot it has Lexus/Toyota reliability which is second to none so your ultra rare Lexus will be more reliable and cheaper to maintain. Really, this is a no brainer. Hands down for the Lexus! Now since production began, Lexus from 2017 through 2020 sold just 7,006 LC 500 coupes in the U.S. and zero convertibles while only 2,030 LC 500 were sold in Europe from 2017-3020. That's all the LC 500 whereas Porsche has built well over 1,00,000 911! Ferrari will sell far more 458/488/F8 (all same body shape) than Lexus will ever build of the LC Convertible. Currently Lexus is selling around 100 or so LC 500 Convertibles a month in its first year of production so you can expect that number to drop off in following years before the car and its V8 go away completely due to electrifiction. In other words, the LC 500 Convertible will be a future collectors car and classic. Interesting thing if you watch other reviewers they all LOVE this car and over and again say they want to get one for themselves! Let's not forget the BOTTOM LINE: The LC 500 comes loaded with standard features! With the Porsche everything is an option. You want the nice seats in the Porsche? THat's thousands more while standard in the LC 500. You want the nice 911 wheels? Again, thousands more and standard in the LC. When you buy a Porsche you are typically adding tens of thousands in options whereas the LC 500 has them as standard. Smoking Tire, Motoman, CarWow, etc. You would be much happier driving this than that hypercar you just bought with the oversize doors ;)

Man finally someone who understands cars. Bro I bought a 2014 Is350 F sport and everyone does an exhaust but I thought about it Lexus works with Yamaha so it doesn’t need an exhust u mess up the sound. So then I straight piped it with a 3inch pipe and my guy I’m telling u it sounded like an LFA everyone that doesn’t know about Lexus thought I was driving a supercar/hypercar they couldn’t believe it and my Freinds that put an exhust slapped their foreheads. Exhust are only for other American and German cars because their cars are just loud and noisy for no reason they sound disgusting even with the custom exhaust 😂 and btw when Lexus says a car has 400hp it’s actually more like 500+ because it has the most aggressive and reliable trans and engine naturally aspirated with no lag whatsoever even after 200k miles they still hit the same. I’m telling u man if it ain’t a Lexus it’s a pile of junk. Ppl will realize this after 10years and all their value will go up like the LFA which is worth $1M+
