One thing about this show that stands out from other shows, especially on The CW, is that this show doesn't hold back, it's unapologetic and pulls no punches. It's not afraid to kill people, HUGE amounts of people, even main characters. You'll see what I mean going forward. But it's one of those shows that stands out for the better because of its grittiness and realism.

Finn was literally flirting with Clark the second they got to Earth. He said "I didnt think i was ever gonna see her again". He didnt act sad or anything when they got to the ground, he just jumped to the next girl.

Finn is such a snake. I do like Clarke's reaction though, despite the fact that she got basically led on by someone who actively pursued her and made her care about him, she still cares about Raven's feelings and steps aside. I really think this episode was a big one for Clarke and Bellamy, not only because Clarke is able to reach out to him successfully, but because Clarke realizes that Finn ain't shit and if she needs someone to have her back he isn't going to be it. He's not even loyal enough to not cheat on his long-time girlfriend for a single day.

Bellamy, like others, even though they committed crimes. They were all trying to protect someone they loved. There are people that hate Bellamy because of everything he does like throwing the radio in the river. But he thought it was the best thing to do for him and his sister in that moment. He had no clue people were in trouble of being sacrificed on the ark. As soon as he found out he was willing to help. This episode breaks me because of the dad and daughter. Knowing that he will never see her again and just wanting a bit more time with her. Then her childish annoyance that is typical, that you just know come the following morning she will be heartbroken and full of regret that she gave him the slightest bit of attitude and wishing she had held him a bit longer as well. Especially knowing that it was truly for nothing in the long run. It brings a whole extra layer of heaviness. Although, this episode was the first true example of what humanity is willing to do to survive and help others survive. Which was the point of the show, showing us the lengths people go to for survival.

yess, I totally agree with you on shows saving people at the last minute. what I love about this show is that they don't do that. this show is brutal and does not hold back at all, and I love how willing they are to kill off anyone, we saw that with wells and now the culling. There were probably matches in the bunker, who knows. Kane is not a good character right now but he gets better. Bellamy is so selfish in those 5 first episodes. Raven and Finn reuniting was so awkward. Abby really said "revolution time" what a badass move! I absolutely love that you sang since you've been gone by Kelly Clarkson, that was so perfect. All those people sacrificing themselves is so selfless, brought a tear to my eyes.

This episode is so sad with Mr Lemkin and Reese then the other people choosing to sacrifice themselves for their loved ones which is super utterly sad but what gets me is that fact that Abby used the message that Jake recorded to let people know the truth but at the same time he would still be alive if she had snitched on him to Jaha and he would have been there to probably get the message out sooner and the 100 wouldn't have needed to be sent down to earth too. People might disagree with this but even though Octavia says I didn't deserve any of this but what she doesn't get is that she is Bellamy's responsibility and if anything were happen to her then that would put tremendous guilt on him for the rest of his life and he would blame himself so I feel more sympathetic towards Bellamy in that regard because I get how he feels. I know people will blame Bellamy for throwing away the radio, ruining their chances on stopping the culling and I know this might sound heartless but it would have happened to those people anyway even if they sacrificed themselves or not because there would probably be another circumstances of needing to cull more people for oxygen anyway unfortunately.

I think this was the first episode that really captured me. I enjoyed that it seemed to be a lot deeper than the previous episodes. The people volunteering to die, and that father with his daughter was so sad. I also felt like we got to see another side to Bellamy and see that he had a big heart deep down. I also liked that Octavia finally got a bigger storyline! Loved Raven coming down to the arc and also the respect between Raven/Clarke. Finn is such a jerk, I can't believe the way he was acting with Clarke when he has a whole ass girlfriend!
